I was a long time customer being a Garner resident. Ill never step foot in this place again as the new cashier and owner decided to argue with me over an order. My wife placed an order while we went to pick my kids up from school so I heard her clearly state 2 of the same dish one with veggies and the other without. When I approached the counter the new cashier was too busy on her cellphone to even notice I was there which was quite rude to begin with. I told her I had a call in order of 2 shrimp fried rice dishes one with veggies and one without as well as a general chicken combo for my kids. I paid for the order and waited for my food. When the owner put my food on the counter I told her I was missing a shrimp fried rice combo. She told me my wife only ordered one and the cashier said she only charged me for one. I said fine can I place another order then but im sure my wife ordered two so maybe there was a mixup. The cashier told me no she ordered 1. Then I said well is this one that I have already the one with veggies or without. Then the owner rudely butted in and said she only ordered 1 ok. Then I said you know what, dont worry about it. My family and I frequented this place for the last 8 to 10 years but not anymore. Rule #1 the customer is always right and you never argue with them especially when they were willing to just pay for...
Read moreNOTE: I've rated this location with regard to other fast-casual Chinese restaurants that are similar to it in mind. If you are reading this, keep this in mind throughout the review! Also, keep in mind that to receive a five-star rating would require me to love almost everything about the place and so I reserve that star for places that exceed almost every expectation.
It is a pretty decent location with good, fresh food. Food is not overly greasy or oily. Sauces are also very saucy, which is great, giving the dishes lots of flavor! Soups have flavor as well and dishes don't all taste the same (which I find many Chinese fast-casual restaurants tend to have an issue with). Vegetables are fresh. I usually go with the Hunan Chicken or Chicken w/Broccoli and Fried Eggrolls or Dumplings and they taste pretty good. I also like Fried Rice and Lo-Mein once in a while. Then again, I am one for Hunan dishes, in general... but this place does not disappoint, as far as I'm concerned! Sauce is savory and flavorful, which I personally can appreciate. I can't really speak to the atmosphere as this is more of a take-out location, I would say. I can't speak to other people's experiences, but as far as I'm concerned, overall, it's a good location to pick up some Chinese food to-go!! Thank you for the...
Read moreA few weeks ago, I went to this place during a 1 hour lunch break I had during work. I have allergy issues with soy sauce, so I normally ask places if they have Chinese White Sauce (some places do, some places dont). It is a great substitute that many places have done for me in the past. All I asked was if I could substitute white sauce with soy sauce. THATS IT. Simple right? Apparently not. A middle-aged women up front repeatedly said no and started mocking me. I asked only once, but she still went to the chef and said things laughing like "He ask for white sauce, I told him, i told him no, i told him no." She said then went on about how shouldn't have asked and mocked me as if I wasn't even there. I was absolutely shocked that such an establishment would treat a customer so poorly. A simple no could have done the job. A couple customers in the resturant actually witnessed it and were shocked too. I was about the chew the lady out and tell her just how rude she was, but I didn't want to waste my hour break on some idiot. I walked out and havn't returned since....
