Sakura 8 — Restaurant in Garner

I ordered 2 hibachi chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was ok but the chicken was not good at all. I haven’t eaten there since covid but prior to that, the chicken was great! Today it didn’t look like chicken and it was not cooked all the way. The chicken was gooey and spongy like in texture. It use to be good when you could go inside and see them cooking. Now they got it where you can’t go in nor see thru the windows. No contact at all. Why is it still like that when just about all of the restaurants are open now? I called the manager and spoke to him about it. He didn’t have much to say other than he would check it out lol. Update: We picked up lunch and it was a way better experience. Everything was in our to go bag and wait time was short. Food was really good and so much cheaper than other hibachi places.

Stopped by today to pick up lunch and the employee was rude short with my husband. He asked her for pink sauce which has a different name where ever you go because we needed it for our hibachi order. She acted like he was wasting her time and finally said "white sauce?" and said yes and she told him 4 were inside. We got home to find no pink/yum yum/white sauce. We would have never ordered the hibachi without that sauce. They weren't busy at all. A small restaurant with limited seating and reasonable prices. The atmosphere was almost nonexistent and not inviting. The service was inconsistent. For some customers, they brought the food to the table. For other customers, they would just wave to you to pick up your food from the counter and bring it to your table. Trays were not provided so multiple trips to the counter were required to bring all your food to the table. The Fried Dumplings and Seaweed Salad were very good.
