This store continues to decline. We were discussing where to stop to grab a quick bite on the way home last night and remembered the commercial indicating caramel apple empanadas were back on the menu so that was our motivation to stop at Taco Bell. We went through the drive-thru and the person on the speaker just seemed annoyed we were there. I had to repeat what we wanted several times (1 mexican pizza, 1 doritos shell taco supreme, 2 bean & rice burritos & 2 empanadas) and when I said the empanadas for the 3rd time, the person claimed they were no longer being sold. I said, well they are on the menu and the person stated again that they were no longer being sold. Well, that just seems quite contradictory but okay.
When we got to the window, the person (he/they) didn't say hello, welcome or anything when opening the window, but rather turned back to the other person standing behind them and talking. No words were spoken by the person at the window to us at all while I handed over our credit card or when he/they handed us the bag. I had said hello when the window was opened orignally and a thank you when the bag was handed to us, but the window was just simply closed. There were no sauces in the bag (we weren't asked at all if we wanted any) and there was no receipt (just the tag slapped on the side of the bag - pictured). When we got home, the mexican pizza looked like all of the toppings were on one side, the top 'core' of the tomato was included and the side of the pizza with no toppings was basically just shell. The taco supreme...well, that was about the same, there was one small dollop of beef at the end of the shell tucked into the box/taco holder with the lettuce & cheese being on the other end...nothing in that taco, the way it was filled, was meant to be eaten together like a taco should. I'm not sure what was happening in the food prep area but it seems they had as little interest in prepping the food as the person at the window had in dealing with the public.
This is the 3rd time (we usually give chances to allow for 'bad days') we've been to this particular location with poor service so, that is an OUT for us. We will never go to this location again and I do not recommend this location to anyone...
Read moreWe visit this Taco Bell roughly 7 times a month. I will am going to tell a story a few months back.
I used the online shopping experience one Saturday evening. Because you can custom make your taco's and not have to wait when you arrive there. Plus it's prepaid with a credit card from your home or phone if you want. Pretty great service....If only it worked for me...Lol.
I placed an order 1 hr 10 minutes before closing time, prepaid and ready to go pick it up. I never received an email receipt and that bothered me. I drove to the location. I triple checked the address. I was at the right location. But, the order was never available for this location to create. So, I said. What the hay and went to another location nearby(but in Raleigh, not garner)which I knew was wrong. There was a long line at the Raleigh location. Wasted a lot of time. When I got to the counter my order did not exist. So, I went back to the Garner location and explained everything that was happening. Although I had paid for some food and drove all around I wasn't as annoyed as I could have been. The lady behind the counter was exhausted, it's almost closing time. If she was disrespectful she didn't mean it & probably wouldn't remember it. It was 1am. I decided to go home and mess with this the next day. I forgot. 3 had weeks passed. Thinking it wasn't anyones human fault, I decided to give this location another chance. I called ahead and ask to speak with a manager.(I don't remember the conversation, this was 8 months ago) I just remember the manager knew about the issue and wanted to hear the story from the person that it happened too. I was there in 10 minutes, walked inside. The Manager was a young man, very respectful and although I don't remember his name. Hopefully my timeline will give him some pride and well earned recognition. He apologized and explained the online system was newish and is glad I stopped by so he could document this issue so they could try and correct this mistake in the future. He gave me a full refund in cash. $27 worth.(I ordered a lot that night! hey don't judge me! :P)
This is my Taco Bell. Go find your own great...
Read moreThe only reason I go to this TB is because the one in Clayton sucks more every time I went there. This one isnt great, but it's ok, drive thru is long, the prices high, staff is usually friendly, orders are wrong most of the time, never get sauce we ask for, sometime the food is spectacular some times not so much, but rarely is it not good at all. Still like the place, I guess I will keep going back, mainly to get what was missing from the previous order, I sure hope it's not a sales tactic, brilliant if it is. Just cut the menu down, the prices down, foods good enough, and so is staff. I'm posting pictures next time.
UPDATE; After arriving home discovered that my $5 box was not with drive thru order. Did received e drink. So, not really surprised, but my simple order was over $30, I should have gotten everything. Tryied to call several times, but I know the drill, so returned a week later, was me with the rudes person behind the counter ever, told him what happened, he insisted I buy another one. After arguing with whom I was reminded of his name, and fact he was the new manager and things were going change around here...blah, blah, blab. Must have been a military reject. Got tired of it, so explained I would call corporate then, he got even more assholeish, so went outside and Mac ed my order for a drink, and insisted I get what I have already paid for, could hear his loud self in the background, he took my order at window, refused again, paid for drink, asked him one more time, all I got was his name ect. again and said that it was going to just be that way, I turned off my car, took keys out, and said no, this is how will be, I am not moving until I get my order corrected, and it is almost lunch time. Yea, that's right. The universe is now complete, I got my food. Get it right next time, a d we wo t have this. He needs to go, and now I am boycotting that location. Food is usually good, tasty get order right, slow, but most employees are nice, that will change real soon with him at the...
