Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Gastonia

I stopped by the Ollie’s in Gastonia, the suburb of Charlotte, out of curiosity, hoping to find some good deals—and while the prices were definitely low, the overall experience left a bit to be desired. The store is located conveniently on E Franklin Blvd near Target and other big-box stores, with plenty of parking and decent store hours (open until 9 PM most days).

That said, the layout felt a bit cluttered, and the atmosphere was more chaotic than I expected. While some sections—like books and snacks—had solid bargains, much of the inventory felt hit-or-miss or disorganized. It’s definitely the kind of place where you have to dig around to find something worthwhile, which might appeal to some shoppers, but felt overwhelming to me.

Staff were polite, and checkout seemed quick, but I didn’t leave feeling excited to come back. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and enjoy hunting for closeout deals, but not somewhere I’d go out...

We are from out of town and seen this store passing by and decided to take a look. Our kids picked out a few things and our son had propped the fortnite nerf gun against the cashiers counter. We accidentally left the gun and didn’t notice until we was 1.5 hours away heading back home. We was willing to turn around and get it because our son really wanted it. We called and spoke to a one lady and someone by the name Dave. After arguing on the phone for at least 15 minutes we decided to leave it at that. We will just repurchase the gun elsewhere. I have visitied the store on 3 occasions and literally filled my cart with stuff. I was excited each time at the great prices and crazy stuff they had. Each time after becoming so frustrated waiting and watching people who do not care one way or another if you buy something i left my cart there. I thought maybe it was just a bad day so i tried it again and again. Always the same. They actually were holding up the lines(the employees) complaining about carts of stuff being left.
