The ShoppE — Local services in Gastonia

Upon arriving I was greeted by one of the barbers. I had asked him if they were taking "walk ins" today and what that estimated wait time would be. I was told ~30-40 minutes. So I decided to wait. Eventually 3 out of the 4 barbers present had finished their customers & left completely. Not one of them said a word or so much as looked my direction while I waited. After nearly 2 & 1/2 hours of watching other customers walk in, get their haircut and leave ahead of me my patience grew thin. I understand I did not have an appointment but I feel like at least 1 of the employees should have had the decency to just say today was not a good day to be a walk in. Needless to say...I won't be back nor will I refer...

Went inside wasn't greeted by either barber, I figured they would atleast acknowledge me, once customers got of chairs to atleast ask was I waiting on someone. No one said anything to me, people came in from outside, who weren't even waiting and jumped right in chairs as others got out of them...then to top it off, in comes another barber as he sets up, I'm thinking he would ask who is next or anything, he gets in the mirror, fixing his face putting on vaseline and everything and he just stays in the mirror fixing himself up.....very unprofessional place, I'm sure they only worry about their regulars or appointments, but you can atleast ask or acknowledge a walk-in...I wouldn't recommend...

We’ve brought our little guy here for a couple of years now and Erica is awesome! He can’t sit still yet she manages to always have him looking “dapper” - his words - when we leave. Erica is super cool, very nice, and patient. The mall may not be very busy all the time, but The Shoppe is, which tells you something about what the crew here can do. Even if you don’t need a haircut, walk by and read the positive affirmation written out front just to brighten your day. Good vibes all around and they all begin with Erica who...
