Little Green Apple — Local services in Geneva Township

I came into this store on 3/16/23 around 4pm with my 3 year old son to get my wife an anniversary card. The two women working were in conversation when I entered. To my surprise they did not acknowledge me or my son when we entered. We walked past them and found the anniversary card section without their help. As I looked through the cards I was in shock that they hadn’t even acknowledged our presence in the store. As a former manager in a retail company I was extremely disappointed in the treatment we had received. While I needed the cards there were other items in the store I was interested in for my wife but I couldn’t bring myself to spend any more money with a company that doesn’t acknowledge and appreciate the people who are keeping them in business. I was very disappointed in my experience and the next time I need a card last minute, this is the very last place I would ever go to based on...

Today was ornament premier day. I've been going to this hallmark for the past 7 years... ever since I moved up to Elgin. But today was the last day I will shop there. In the past ornament premier was a big deal... christmas music playing... staff dressed up for christmas... staff being willing to help. But today... no music... no fun... and yes... it was not all of the staff... but when you over hear someone who works for the store remarking that this is the worst day of the year... everyone always asks a million questions... it really makes you rethink why you shop there. And then when I have a question, and pariently wait for two associates to stop talking so I dont inturupt them... I'm given a dirty look. Made me feel like I wasnt wanted. It's no wonder that today... a big day for ornament lovers... the store was virtually empty. From now on I will be going to another hallmark to...

I recently purchased a Hallmark Keepsake ornament for a friend as a gift. I requested a gift receipt which I attached to the box, and I scratched out the price. My friend returned to the store to exchange the ornament and they would not let her because apparently you are not allowed to write on the box. When I asked why customers are not told this when they make a purchase I was basically told, in a patronizing manner, that people purchasing Keepsake ornaments know this. When I said ‘I did not know this’ she said ‘Well, I am still not returning it’. I will never purchase a Keepsake ornament again, nor will I EVER shop at the Little Green Apple Hallmark store at the Geneva Common. Ride Manager and bad policy.
