The employee who helped me came into view after two minutes of me waiting at the counter. I noticed the menu had a list of what I assumed were rolled ice cream flavors with only, “Small” and “Large” highlighted above them. As I stood in front of the register I asked, “is the small and large sizes on the menu for the rolled ice cream?” She said, “we don’t do rolled ice cream anymore.” I went over to the flavors to get a second look at which ones I wanted and I said, “ok, I’d like to do a small order of the Oreo and Chocolate ice cream please.” She remained at the register and said, “You have to choose toppings first.” Ok no big deal. So I told her, “no I’m good thanks.” Then she said, “you have to pay first then get your ice cream.” So I walked to the register. She then said, “You have to let me know if you want toppings.” I said, “no thanks,” when she asked me again. I watched her ring up my order on the iPad that was laying flat on the counter in front of me. And just like at any other cash register, once I saw the blinking card light, I brought out my card. To pay. She said, “you need to slow down.” I guessed maybe she hadn’t fully rang up my order yet. Then she said “sign the iPad and then if it doesn’t let you sign, just press the submit button.” I did so. Then she proceeded to start my order. She stopped my order mid-scoop and went over to customers who just walked in. Then she came back over to me, finished my batch of ice cream and told me if I want spoons they’re over at the register and, if I don’t see any, to let her know. Then she didn’t say anything after that and I asked, “am I good to go?” She said “have a...

Read moreWe went to visit Sweet Stop on a rainy afternoon. The sign on the store said that we can just stay in the car, and they will come and take our order. The very nice assistant came and try to take our order at least three times before we finally made the decision. He was very professional and very courteous, patiently explaining to us the different kinds of drinks. All the drinks we ordered were extremely tasty. I especially liked the lychee flavored drink that I ordered. That was probably the best lychee drink that I had in western suburbs. When someone came out to ask about our satisfaction, I had a chance to chat with her. She shared with me that the owner did put in a lot of thought into improving the menu and their product. For example, she insists on using the top quality fresh fruits for the drinks. Even though it takes A lot more effort, the owner would choose to cook the tapioca on a daily basis as a way to ensure the quality of the drinks. I also tried the folded ice cream that my children ordered. They came with different toppings and were very flavorful as well. We thought the “turtle” one was the best. You can order it without nuts, which we did. The only bad thing that I have to complain is the fact that this shop is too far from my house and I cannot...
