Their food is flavorful. Service could improve. Long lags between check-ins, water wasn’t refilled even after asking. Attentive and sincere while at the table. Prices kind of high for what it is. Hope this place survives, as many of the Geneva Commons restaurants are no longer there.
We enjoyed our chicken shiitake lettuce wraps, salmon with a spicy rub over roasted vegetables-delicious and couldn’t be better. We also had some pizza, so-so. We deviated from our favorite, the Thai Crunch salad.
Overall a pleasant visit, but waters should be brought to the table immediately then ask what other drinks. Water is a given with any meal. Keep things moving especially with kids at the table. Soup just can’t be $10 unless you’re putting lobster in it. Sorry, but no. The salmon dinner was good but I would value it at $19 not $25.
Funny that the same issue occurred twice to me in one day, so I’m noticing a pattern that could be discussed in training for restaurants. If you’re half out of something, (in this case it was soup), please don’t give the customer 1/2 the old batch and then make them wait for the new batch. If a new batch is on the way, you make the new batch and give them one consistent product or at a minimum comp the first cup since it’s the old batch so it’s charged as a cup for a bowl since the continuity of service was interrupted. I didn’t mind getting one cup there and one cup to go, but just would have handled it slightly different on...
Read moreNice looking restaurant but more attention to cleaning the floors at the booths is needed.
Once seated, a server didn't come to see us for 5 minutes and it wasn't our actual server but someone helping out. The restaurant was mainly empty of guests so not sure what the confusion was.
Our real server was not very attentive. My drink was empty most of the dinner.
Ordered the spinach artichoke dip. I wouldn't get it again. Its a light green slop that lacks flavor and there were no chunks of artichoke. Not sure if there were even in there. The chip to dip ratio needs to be reviewed as there were way more chips than dip. The dip was not very warm either.
Dinner was "the works" pizza and a crunchy Thai salad. The pizza looked like sauce had been added but it was all dried out. The mushrooms were more burned than cooked. That only emphasized the dried up sauce on the pizza. Overall, it wasn't the quantity pizza I expected from a CPK. Definitely wasn't an appealing looking pizza. Salad was fine, a bit heavy on the dressing but I forgot to order it on the side.
We also ordered a BBQ chicken pizza with pineapple. It looked better made than the works pizza. There were no complaints from that diner.
All in all, dinner was over $80 for three people (no dessert). For as much money as it cost, it wasn't worth the quality of the food provided. Dominos Pizza would have been a better value. We...
Read moreThis review has is regarding the “curbside pickup”.. Ordered the meal to be ready at 430PM, and had to wait over 25 minutes to get the food.
I think they need to update the signs or at least include in the email that you need to call when you arrive. I schedule for my daughter to pick the food up at 430, and she was sitting IN the “curbside pickup” spot for 25 minutes, along with the other person waiting for their food. I called in after my daughter said it was still not out. First attempted call, was they were to transfer me to the “pickup desk”, but for some reason, did not transfer. Second attempt, they told me that we are supposed to call in when we arrive from the “curbside pickup” parking spot. I said they should have included in the email, but they told me it was on a sign. My daughter did see a phone number, but did not say to call, just had a phone number listed on the “curbside pickup”.
When they FINALLY dropped the food off at the car, they told my daughter that I scheduled it for pickup, and not the “curbside pickup”. Not sure what notes they have, but my receipt clearly says “curbside pickup”.
@CPK - I would suggest in the future, if you see someone sitting in the “curbside pickup” parking space, you NEED to go check it out and see what that person is sitting there for, Im guessing they may just be waiting for the...
