Had an appointment at the salon at 12:30. Was there art 12:32 which is a miracle it wasn't later and walked in only to find out my appointment had been cancelled at 9:30 that morning (I was notified at 9:30 via text i believe that it was canceled though I didn't see the text before I arrived there so it was still annoying and frustrating but I was notified. I just didn't even think to look to confirm that it was still on. I just assumed it was and drove an hour to the salon for the appointment. So I guess that's on me but I still stand by frustrating and annoying. But I will add another star. One rather than two because of being ignored by staff members was, as you will read, embarrassing). That was frustrating and annoying. And I just stood there like a deer in headlights trying to find the salon to ask what was up and Hopefully to reschedule, and had several staff walk by me without a word. Kind of embarrassing.

But the beautiful blond lady behind the counter who had her silver earring get caught on something, was so wonderful and kind and fantastic. I think she was not having the best day due to a couple staff members giving conciliatory hugs, but I honestly never would have known by the way she conducted herself as a true professional. She gave each customer special attention and always greeted everybody with a smile and I just can't speak highly enough of her and I really hope I get to run into her again if I'm ever at that store. She's fantastic and I truly hope that anything that was bothering her at the time has resolved because she has a special light inside that the world needs to see....

I stopped bye for the first time to check out Ulta and felt right at home. Sofie B. was the gal who helped me find what I was looking for and showed me a variety of products that might also be of interest to me. She was helpful, sweet and made my shopping experience wonderful.

She even helped me find what products would work with my complexion. I will definitely be back to try new products and check out the salon too- I haven’t experienced excellent customer service like this in a long time. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Update: I went in to Ulta to shop again after the holidays and asked to have Sophie help me. I found out that the young woman, Sophie was no longer employed there. Another girl who helped me told me Sophie was mistreated by the management there and ended up leaving. That same girl said that she was also looking for a new job and for the same reason. It’s a shame they can’t keep their staff. I like to shop at stores where I see the same friendly faces every time I frequent the store. It is also sad that the young folks who work there are not...
