Just wanted to mention that The employees bust there butts everytime I go in there non stop and management does a great job considering the fact that 90% people that go in there are thieves and pop tags on goods that are already marked down and leave the store a mess . Also some customers are not appreciative of the employees who clean up after them even though they shouldn't but still do. So hats off to them for that. Another thing is that from my understanding is that the corporate big wigs don't take care of there employees like they should. The windows are always broken from breaking in at night thieves who seem to constantly do it it looks like and get away with it. Its dangerous and Can't imagine what they go threw. Also I over heard that corporate big wigs seem to care about is money and if goals are met. To me that sounds like all they care about is money because if its not met than they don't get a bonus . So to me that s corporate ill will. I highly doubt that 90 percent or even 70 percent go to charity contributions. Sound like greed to me. I think they care more about the customer that steals than there own employees. What they need to do is pay there employees and there managers more money because they don't pay them enough for the work that they do and appreciate there workers who are the bread and butter of that place because they make it happen in the Gilroy store. I would give it 5 because of the employees but I can't give it any because of corporate big wigs. They need to show more gratitude and...
Read moreI just went to the Gilroy donation site and boy was I disappointed. There is no customer service! I gather it's a Sunday at 1: 00. A man dressed in black slacks and a black shirt stood inside the warehouse. I had two rather large bags of clothing and he did not budge to offer any assistance. When I told him I had clothing to donate he rudely stated, put them on the table. He did not acknowledge of thank you, or ask if I wanted a receipt. He just stood there with his hands inside his pockets. I told him don't worry sir, I don't need a receipt this time. Salvation army, I know you are training these people to work in customer service. Please do better. The gentleman and the warehouse area couldn't have been any older than 35, but had the sourest look like he didn't want to be there. He should be grateful that he is getting trained to do a job. I literally get better customer...
Read moreI love coming to this thrift store! Prices are good and most of the staff is friendly. However, ive had a couple encounters were the manager or the supervisor there makes me feel unwelcomed and/or uncomfortable. Its not nice to yell "NEXT" in someones face when youre still putting your change in your bag. He also always seems to be in a bad mood. Id say get a different job if youre unhappy. I dont know why its so hard to simply be greeted with a smile. I come here to get a good deal and go home. Seems like the workers there would just prefer for no one to show up. Also, the times ive had questions he has seemed SO ANNOYED to answer them. Its not hard to be nice.
As for prices, they are great! Way better than goodwill and lots of hidden gems everywhere just have to take the...
