Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Gilroy

We have been to several Habit Burgers. For the most part the food has been very good, very tasty. I have seen employees missing up orders in all restaurants but ours have always been correct. The one thing I found disturbing is when a young male employee came out from the back kitchen area digging his finger in his ear and walking straight to the outer kitchen where the registers are located. I thought he was going to wash his hands but no. Shortly after that he exited to kitchen area with his lunch. He went to the tables to eat. He finished and went back to the kitchen area and started to work without washing his hands. This is very disturbing. This is how germs and diseases are passed. This is why I don't like kitchens that are in view where the customers sit. I love their food but dislike what goes behind...

It is a refreshing change to really order a burger your way. They have choices and you add to those choices. Not only are the hamburgers prepared and cooked where you can watch, along with the sides you may have chosen to complete your meal. The burgers are well cooked and the toppings give it a taste of home cooked on the backyard grill. They have tempura battered green beans that made for a nice change to ordering french fries, which you can also order. Their quick to serve you and I have never seen a line at anytime we've eaten there. We have found the area to be clean, and they have plenty of seating for large families, parking and handicap access. You also can find a spot just for two. I rarely visit here but decided to on a whim today. I don’t often write reviews either but I had such a positive experience I felt inclined to. At first I was trying to order on the kiosk but it wouldn’t give me the option to do a certain substitution. The lady behind the counter was super sweet and helpful and took my order at the register. The restaurant was very clean. And they have a great variety of drinks to choose from. My food was great and served fresh. The spicy green beans are amazing. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a good burger. I love that they also offer a variety of sides other than French fries.
