Like peanut butter spread to thin. It seems as time goes by this great franchise has failed in this location. I have been sitting in the drive thru for 35 minutes. Mainly now just to figure out how to write this review. I now understand why most of the commercials pride themselves on their drinks. Tasty food and speediness is not their forte. We have ten minutes before they close at this point. We got here at 9:45. We have figured that it would be enough time to get food and their famous drinks. I have even taken my time writing this review. We now have five minutes before they cllose The picture is where we were at. It was at 11:00 closing time. That is the first menu they have in drive-thru. 11:07 and we were able to order. You can tell the bit of service they do know how to offer has stopped at closing. Management should stop by at night so they can see how horrible the service really is. Preferably the last hour and a half before closing. Now you might be asking yourself, why go through experience and spend money they don’t deserve? To write this to let those who are even curious, to find another location. If you come to this one thinking it’s better service, your in for a surprise. We In my recommendation, just don’t. Dear management if you care a bit for you potential customers, please fix this location. Retrain or better yet, train your employees. I asked for a grape slushy with nerds nothing special. This location in Gilroy failed to make their famous drinks also. As I write this after everything I have dropped it to one star. The three drinks were horrible. The cheesecake drink had no cheesecake. The chili cheese tots. The star I have given is for the politeness of the young girl charging for the food. Just to let you know SONIC, If I ask for an item on your menu I would like all the fixings you claim to offer. The employees choosing not to add those ingredients, I would call that stealing.

Probably, yes, but I was getting hangry and that line was moving pretty fast. Got into drive-thru and at the speaker it sounds like they can't find my order so I ask, "So you can't find my order?" Soon after she says they found it, with attitude, she gave as good as she got. I did say I was getting hangry and it was now over 20 minutes after the original pick-up time. Now, we all know online orders are ALWAYS sealed when you get them. Mine was not sealed AND it was warm. She ended up stapling it in front of me, but behind the window. I told her that it should have been sealed and that I think they messed with my food now, I mean how obvious, right?! Spoke to her manager Nayeli, only to leave feeling dismissed. Opened my burger and found these hot peppers in it. I screenshotted from the app to show this burger does not come with peppers. Not putting the cashier girls name since she told me she's a minor and I don't want legal trouble.

This was the worst experience at Sonic Burger I've ever had. This used to be the one we always went to. We drove all the way from San Jose to eat here for dinner tonight. We ordered 2 bacon Texas toast sandwiches, a chicken sandwich and footlong coney. We also ordered a grape slush. So disappointing. The guy who took our order (heavy set young man with long curly hair pulled into a pony tail) sounded like he could care less. I asked for no tomato, lettuce or pickles on one of the Texas toast sandwiches. He said it didn't come with pickles and asked if i wanted it added. I said no. It looked like there were pickles in the picture. I asked for no tomato or lettuce on the #10 chicken sandwich. He said it didn't come with tomato even though the photo on the menu clearly shows tomato on the sandwich. He sounded a little rude. When he came out with our food, he brought us a cherry slush. I told him we asked for a grape slush. He came back with a slush that was still almost all just white ice with a small swirl of grape flavoring around the edge. My husband asked me to take it back and ask them to make a new one. I asked if they could they could make a new one since this was not blended and was still mostly ice. The girl who came to the door said you have to stir it yourself. I couldn't mix it if I tried. A flimsy straw was not sturdy enough to blend the frozen drink. I said, I've been here plenty of times before. We've never had to stir our own slushes before. She tried to say it's the way the machine is. Even the cherry one the guy brought out by mistake looked perfectly mixed. It was at least all the way red at the top. She then offered to use their ice cream mixer to mix it for us. The promised to wash it off first. I said okay. She brought it back. My husband tried it and said it tasted watered down. We started to eat our food. The burger patties were overcooked and dry. They looked and tasted like they were cooked the day before. The onion ring that came with the burger was not even layered correctly and was completely smashed and soggy in the melted cheese. They didn't give us a receipt. They didn't even wear name tags so you could comment about them. I am so disappointed. If I could give 0 stars or a half star, I would. I would never recommend this Sonic Burger. Save your money and go...

Disappointing First and Final Visit to Sonic Drive-In in Gilroy

My first and likely last visit to Sonic Drive-In in Gilroy left me unimpressed, despite the convenience of their service. Despite the hype surrounding this establishment, the food quality fell short of expectations. From start to finish, the experience was lackluster and left much to be desired.

Upon placing our order, we patiently waited for approximately 15 minutes. When our food finally arrived, we encountered a forgetful server who neglected to include napkins. Taking matters into my own hands, I had to walk to the door and request napkins. What followed was a rather comical scene as the server retrieved just one napkin, then began walking toward me, only to suddenly turn around and collect three more napkins. Unfortunately, in the process, a couple of napkins ended up on the floor, which the server hastily picked up before proceeding to touch his nose, leading to an awkward and unappetizing moment.

As for the food itself, the experience was underwhelming. The mozzarella sticks arrived drenched in a pile of oil, suggesting they had been marinating for far too long. This excessive oiliness significantly impacted the overall flavor and texture. Additionally, the fries were disappointingly soggy, lacking the desired crispness that would have elevated the meal.

Regrettably, despite the convenience of their service, the lackluster food quality and the unappetizing encounter with the server make it unlikely that I will return to Sonic Drive-In. The commercials and the hype did not align with the reality of my dining experience.

My visit to Sonic Drive-In in Gilroy was a letdown. The forgetful server and unappetizing encounter, coupled with the subpar quality of the mozzarella sticks and soggy fries, have left me with no desire to return. I will explore other dining options that offer a more enjoyable and...
