The store itself is fine. However, I was just there looking for a shirt for a Halloween costume. As I was browsing I heard an employee ask another employee, it turns out the manager, for a q-tip. The manager, shoulder length brow hair, then started berating the employee. Telling her that she's had a lot of problems today, and that she needs to get up early, and not have so many problems. She was just generally being condescending and insulting to the employee. I took it upon myself to intervene, and let the manager know that she shouldn't speak to her employees like that in front of customers. That kind of reprimand, if you have to be condescending and awful to another person, should be done behind doors. Then the manager started getting condescending towards me. Saying that maybe she should just take her in the back and write her up. I told her again that she should never speak to an employee like that in front of customers and that she owes the employee an apology. She just said, in the most condescending way ever, "Thank you for your input". What an awful and unhappy person the manager is. This prompts me to not shop there anymore. I would give one star, but the poor girl who was getting yelled at, and the employee up front who told me that that was, in fact, the general manager, seemed nice. The manager absolutely should have apologized to...
Read moreI donate clothes, household items and lots of children's toys here quite frequently. They always take everything I have to give, no giving back unwanted items which is nice. They have a very wide variety of everything and anything clothes (a little too outdated for my liking), toys and more toys, shoes, and lots of home furnishings. My only thing here is that they don't offer even a slight discount on purchases when you donate and the prices are extremely high for used good in not so great condition. I do not donate for discounts I genuinely like giving things to those that will find use of whatever it is I'm parting with, but it would be nice to pay less than $15 for a pair of used water shoes that you can get down the street brand new for only a few dollars more. I would definitely say that MAJ-R-THRIFT is not so second hand when it comes to prices. The store is fairly clean and the staff is friendly. But if you don't have a price tag on an item your planning to buy you won't be taking it home with you. They will NOT sell any item with out its tag that they put on it....
Read moreI love this place! They have better quality items that still have the original price tag stating hundreds of dollars (sometimes) but they do the research on what its worth. I don't like how the shoes are organized but i can see how that would be time consuming. You never see the same clothes there and they have great weekly deals, every sunday is 20% and during the week you have 3 options for discounts on colored tags. I signed up for their rewards program and get coupons every third visit that increase in value. Great place, clean, organized, quality is astounding and I even found LuLaRue leggings for just a few bucks! They only have one bathroom but it definitely exists and a testing station as well, for stuff that plugs in and they have batteries set up for you to use! I asked an employee if i could open a bag of items to test them and she assisted me with no hassle what so ever!!! Amazing place. I got a 1950s Bell and Howell moving picture camera for 6 bucks thats worth at...
