We found this school after ICode School, Manchester CT closed without any prior notice. Our son Lucas, a bright 7-year-old with high-functioning autism, had been taking robotics classes there for three years. ICode School was his favorite place to socialize because it had other children and teenagers with similar emotional conditions. After the closure, we searched for a new coding or Robot program for him and found The Coder School nearby. We decided to give it a try, and Lucas loved it! He started with the Scratch program this year, but it didn’t challenge him much because he already knew Scratch. Kids like our son love to try new things and be challenged. For this reason, The Coder School offers a Python coding program, which he prefers. Even though it’s typically for older kids, he learns anything that interests him very quickly. The Coder School in Glastonbury is the best. My children love the learning environment. They are great at helping individual needs, even during group classes. My youngest daughter wanted to learn Scratch like her big brother and they were excellent at accessing and helping her. They are supper encouraging. The children love to learn more and can’t wait for the next class. In fact, my son is expanding his knowledge further from what he learns weekly. I’d like to point out teachers Kevin and Singh. Our 12-year-old son Eric just finished his first week of camp at The Coder School in Glastonbury—and he absolutely loved it! As a homeschooling family, we’re always looking for enriching experiences that challenge and excite him. Eric started coding at age four, and as a gifted learner, he truly thrives when he’s engaged at a deeper level. This camp exceeded our expectations.
