I come her all the time to eat. I either walk in or order through doordash. Today I visited and ordered my usual Beef and Shrimp with noodles and vegetables. When I received my food I was less than satisfied.
First; They are no longer serving Lo Mein noodles. They have switched to a thin spaghetti noodle. It no longer provides the same esthetic to the traditional meal. I'm not sure if that is a company wide thing, but it's definitely bad for business.
Second; The beef that they use now is almost like ground beef. It is very dry and not as succulent as the beef they were using previously. I thought maybe they just overcooked the beef. Again, I'm not sure if that's a company wide change or if it is exclusive to this location, but I will do my research.
Third; my shrimp were overcooked to the point that they shriveled up to the size of a dime. When I asked the manager about the beef, he replied that everything is cooked fresh and to order. When I pointed out the HUGE pile of cooked chicken sitting in the corner of the grill (mind you it was during their hours, so the chixkenwas just sitting there waoting to be sold to the next unsuspecting guest), he neglected to respond and prompted his staff to just give me a refund to avaid any further confrontation. I never asked for a refund. I just wanted my food made correctly. He then prompted his staff to remake the dish. The beef was still grainy and dry so it's fair to assume that this is their new norm. This saddens me because myself and my family eat here all the time but we WILL NOT be returning to this location ever. And if these changes are company wide, I will have to find a new Hibachi spot. Maybe Sarku Japan or something. But Quickway has a always been...
Read moreEXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Today I went to this location for the first time. I have eaten at Quickway in Laurel and in Waldorf before and had excellent experiences. Unfortunately, I brought my family and we ordered the shrimp and rice. They literally counted the shrimp, which might I add was a horrifically small portion. When I paid $2.12 each for extra shrimp, they again counted out 6 more miniature shrimp and placed them on my plate. At neither of the other locations did they give such a small portion, let alone count the shrimp. Actually, the portions of shrimp were abundant. When I expressed my unhappiness with the service, especially in comparison to the other locations, I received nothing but blank stares. If this were the policy throughout the company or if they showed any consideration of my concern, I would not be as displeased, but knowing what I know, I couldn't...
Read moreIt was a quick stop, however wasn't what I expected. The customer service was okay. There was some food left over on some of the tables so the cleanliness was not perfect but it wasn't bad that the eye could see. I'm pretty tired of people posting inaccurate reviews without pictures. So, i decided, I'd help businesses out with accuracy by posting pictures of their foods.
The food -
Yum sauce - 2/10 (yum sauce is not supposed to be watery.)
Chicken and Beef w/noodle and vegetable -
5/10 (The noodles are not the traditional lo mein noodles. They're more like thin spaghetti, close to chow mein. Or maybe these are chow mein noodles?) The flavor was okay. Definitely safe to eat. And portion was small compared to most quick serve hibachi places.
Is this your normal...
