I've visited the store once ... really liked the products and layout. I tried to talk with a clerk working in the gun department about a rifle, but not only did he show me the wrong gun, he continued to yap at his friend about a TV show that he "just loved". So, today ... a week later, the rifle I like is on sale, so I call the Goldsboro store again (yes, I know, once shame on you, twice, shame on me) and asked to speak with someone who knew something about the rifles advertised in today's circular. Low and behold. This clerk said he didn't know anything about the rifle and that he'd have to "dig in the box" to find out my answer. When I asked him if it'd be too much trouble, he replied "well, it'll just take me a while" with a not-so-subtle implication that he really just didn't care to do it. I run a business of my own and I must admit, we pride ourselves on helping our customers and providing the customer with ANYTHING they need to make an informed buying decision ... no matter if it results in a sale for us or not. Those who know me will tell you I am not a complainer, nor do I frequently write "reviews" but ... I guess I'm saying I would want to know if anyone in my store handled a call or an in-store inquiry in this manner, as it would result in a job-opening for someone else. I had the website pulled up anyhow TRYING to obtain product information so the opportunity presents itself. I regret my "story" couldn't have been one on a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the Goldsboro store tonight, and love the store. It was my second visit, however tonight I left with a bit of bad taste in my mouth. I went in for a specific purchase, and had it in my hands when I wandered over to the gun section to look over what they had in the display cases. In a moment a nice young man came over and asked me if he could help me and I responded that I was looking at a pistol like I use to have and really missed it. Then he asked me if I had a gun purchase permit or a concealed carry permit. I said not at this time, that mine had expired, at which time he told me I was not allowed to look at guns if I did not have either of the permits, that it was store policy. Did he mean it in a different way? I never heard of such a policy in any business. I work in a business where the public comes in to look at our products and we encourage it. Looking creates desire! Well, needless to say I put my items back on the shelf and left the store. I'm not saying I won't go back, but I probably will be purchasing my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went in last night around 6:30pm to get a punching bag, when we finally decided on one, we couldnāt find them anywhere. So I sent my dad to the front of the store, where he has to wait in line due to lack of employees around the store. When the lady finally acknowledged him, he told her we needed help by the punching bags. She said āokay, hang on one minuteā. The proceeded to tell him no, refused to help us, and told us we would have to ācome back tomorrow because we close in 12 minutesā.
All we needed was for them to bring it to checkout! How was that even going to take 12 minutes?!?
It was completely uncalled for and rude!
I even called after we drove away, when the store was about 5 minutes past closed and they answered!! I asked for the employees name which is Pearl! Crazy how they can work after close but couldnāt help customers while they were still open!
If you canāt do your...
