My wife being Sicilian and I traveling the world would know what chicken piccata is. A large pounded out sliced chicken breast marinated and cooked in lemon and butter and capers. Including the noodles cooked in the same sauce.
Apparently here, the only place in the western hemisphere or the world that does it with marinara sauce for the pasta and serves you chicken cutlet or tender size pieces of chicken for over $22.00 This makes zero sense in the culinary world.
When I picked up my to go order, I got home and found this horrific abomination that no one in the world does which is pasta and chicken in marinara.
I called and asked about it and was told it's the proper way for it. Which is true ignorance. I said I was not told it was made that way when I ordered and I was told it's the only way they do it as they do it the proper way. Which is absolute nonsense and once again ignorance.
We also got a lecture on how we don't know food and how it's always been done this way. Then we found ALL the pictures of reviews, mostly good of the same dish, cooked and served the correct way. Which just made the situation worse.
Am I being a Karen? I totally am. Why because when I want something I want it done right and proper. Also I can't eat tomato sauce as it makes me sick. Nothing was explained that hey, we do are own wierd combination that is not the norm. I didn't look at it online just said I would like chicken piccata. The people we talked to when called to fix it were uneducated and clueless. Then denied the pictures we showed them as being true even though included positive reviews and photos of this establishment.
Are the people senile or just clueless that run the place?
I am appalled and angry of such horrible customer service and random made up menu items. Overpriced ridiculousness.
They then told my wife we had to be more specific when we order.
I'm sorry? How do you get more specific on what an internationally know item such as chicken piccata is ? Then said we needed to say we need to ask it the French way. UMMMM that's not the French way and the French way isn't even that as they serve it. And why would I ask for French anything from an Italian restaurant?
Now let's talk about the caprese. Did not come with balsamic sauce or olive oil. Then was told that no one does that. I beg to differ all the restaurants, again, in the world do that. Look at other pictures of the caprese online for their own reviews and they get glaze and olive oil. So confused. It's like someone had a stroke and is making up ideas as they go.
The best part was we were told to ask more questions and be specific when we order. Well if you don't make up things that aren't world renown how do we know to ask you to do it the normal way that has been done for hundreds or years!!!
Definitely never going back. Share...

They bring you a basket of bread with your drinks. It was fresh, warm and crusty. Delicious dipped in their oil and vinegar. Our entrees were also delicious. I got the chicken Marsala and my husband got the chicken Alfredo (pics in comments). The Marsala was very good. A little different then some other places as it was breaded then covered in mushrooms AND onions. It comes with marinara angel hair pasta. My husband loved his fettuccine. It wasn’t drenched in overly cheesy, salty sauce like you would find at Olive Garden. It was still creamy, but more subtle.
CONS: I had called ahead to make a reservation and reserve a nice table because it was our 15 year anniversary. When I arrived the host (an older gentleman) was obviously having a hard time finding a “suitable” table (frantically looking at his reservation book and around the restaurant). An older woman, who appeared to be the owner, looked at me (basically glared at me) and told him “too bad, all the tables are reserved”, to which he replied “so is theirs”. I was astounded at her blatant rudeness and would have left right then and there if it wasn’t my anniversary. He finally sat us at a 4 top, to which I experienced the owner pointing at us and fighting with the host again about half an hour later. I.could.not.believe.it!! I felt very unwelcome the entire time. The place was packed with snowbirds having celebrations of their own, and she was going around greeting and talking to every other table. It was obvious that we were not wanted or welcome. Luckily our waitress, Nicole, was really good. Attentive but not annoying. We took our time as we were trying to enjoy a rare night out. She brought us tiramisu at the end (it was amazing). I asked her if it was because it was our anniversary , and she said it was. I was surprised, since it hadn’t been acknowledged the entire time. Anyway, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING because of how badly I was made to feel from the moment I arrived. I couldn’t fully enjoy my anniversary dinner because of this!

Read moreI’m not one to usually write a negative review but in this case I HAD to. My husband and I decided to have a date night here on a regular Friday evening. We got a sitter and were excited to try this place close to us. We get sat outside as it was very busy inside and there are multiple tables that hadn’t been cleaned off and would stay that way the entire time we were there. The patio atmosphere is interesting. We sat next to an old ash tray and large rock that I’m assuming the business did not want to pay to remove when they added on their outdoor space. It was complete with 2 old propane tanks as well. We asked them to turn on our heater next to us, to which the tank went out almost immediately and we sat next to the smell of gas. It took at least 10 minutes before our server even came over to greet us and take drink orders. We got the cheesy garlic bread for a starter which didn’t come for at least 30-40 minutes and the edges were burnt with cheese that looked like it came out of a bag from the nearby Safeway. It was 2/10. The server was nice enough to say it was on the house. Then an HOUR later after we ordered, our food came out but we needed to get home to our baby so we just asked for them to place our dinners in to go boxes. The server handed us the check but realized they never took off the garlic bread and had to leave for several minutes to go fix this. By the time we left it was 8:40pm at night and we got there at 7pm and only had some sub-par bread and drinks. When we got home to finally eat our dinner, it was unimpressive. My husband got shrimp scampi (he’s not a picky guy whatsoever) and he said it was terrible. I got the Farfalle Alla Vodka and it was okay. Nothing that I couldn’t have made at home. In addition, the staff looked like they hated their lives and weren’t very welcoming to the guests around us.
We really wanted to like this place but left hungry and disappointed. Next time, we’ll stick to...
