I would never use this place again nor recommend it to anyone. We drove an hour and a half one way to purchase a bathtub we wanted. Long story short I get home and notice they loaded the WRONG bathtub in my truck. Over a 3 hour drive 2 kids under 2 just to get home and have the wrong one. I called the manager Miguel who assured me he would go in the next morning on his day off first thing in the morning and get our tub on the delivery truck so we could get it ASAP. 9am he calls and says he can't get a hold of the lady who sets up the delivery and he left a message with another delivery company. 5 hours later no call no tub, I call the place of business Miguel the manager went home but Oscar the assistant manager said the delivery company would be calling me. I get a call at 230 we r on our way to your house from the warehouse. 530 I get a text saying we are just now leaving the warehouse. 7pm. Still no bathtub neither manager or assistant manager is in. Delivery company is saying I'll be 8 or after. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. We are remodeling our master bathroom and still need more supplies but they just lost our business. I went to Lewisville location to buy 350 sf of tile they told me that they have it in Richardson store, i told them that i was going to pick it up, they call me from Richardson and they say tile are ready to pick up once i get there they told me that they have the tiles in Grand Prairie store, next day im going to Grand Prairie store they say they have it in Richardson. I was so frustrated specially when i have worker waiting for the material for 2 consecutive days sitting around and i have to pay them regardless.... the Manager from Grand Prairie Tony Ellis, after a long conversation about my time and gas wasted because Second Surplus BAD COMMUNICATION the only thing he say im sorry and apologize. Each store took me around 45 minutes to get there for nothing and I donât even get my money back to my bank i have to wait for a call... this is the worst experience buying material. We just ordered our new cabinets from "Nancy" today. She was very professional, yet took a great deal of time over several weeks to help my wife get the design just right and all the details of color and features selected.
Using Seconds and Surplus not only made our design process much easier, even with a 3-D rendering of our new cabinets, but using S&S saved us a lot of money.
We highly recommend this place if you are building, remodeling or renovating a kitchen!
Epilog: The cabinet mfg (that Seconds N Surplus uses) didn't include the cabinet end panels in the shipment. We didn't unpack everything beforehand, nor we know what to look for, so our installers didn't have everything they needed. Some of the drawer-slides were defective too! We asked Seconds N Surplus to make it right and they sent out a guy from the mfg who installed the replacements and end panels.
