Ashley Store — Local services in Granville

I am not normally someone to write poor reviews but the customer service as this location is just sad. I called yesterday to see if they had an item in stock at this location. The sales rep, did walk to the floor to confirm they had it was available. I was told they would price match because I found the item online for a better price, including whatever shipping was. I told them the price I found it for online and that shipping was free, I was told this was not a problem and they would be able to match. I was also told that the floor model was available for purchase if we would want to consider that. This location is an hour drive from where I live so carved out time just to drive there and get this coffee table today. We found the coffee table quickly and asked for the sales associate that I spoke with on the phone. We waited so long for him I asked someone else to help us, she spoke with us for a minute then left, the manager came over and said he would assist, but that ended quickly as well. The the sales associate we asked for finally came over but he kept saying "I'll be right back". The things that were said on the phone did not match what we were being told in the store, but again this was very little as everyone kept walking away from us with unanswered questions. We ended up being at the store for 45 minutes, just to be told that they couldnt sell us the floor model, they couldn't price match that they could only give us 10% off (which was no where near the price I found the item for online) and was told that if they shipped it it would be $159 because of how far we live, BUT in reality they CAN'T have it shipped to us because of how far we live. So the only thing they could do was have it shipped to the store and we would have to make another trip back to pick it up. Oh and when I spoke to the sales rep on the phone I made it clear that I was making a long drive, and in store we were asked by 3 different employees what our zip code was for shipping purposes, I including the manager, so they were aware of how far we drive our of our way. I was lied to about price matching and the floor model being available just to get me in the store. Once in the store I was given the run around just to be given disappointing news, and information that did not match what was said the day before on the phone. I wasted 3 hours of my day for this... and they let us walk out of the store annoyed and with nothing because they would rather be dishonest and waste people's time. Do not waste your time, they are only out to help themselves, and do not care about customer satisfaction. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS...

The ONLY positive thing I can say is my sales person was AWESOME!! We bought a very nice table and chair set for our kitchen. It was around $1700. Within 2 days of receiving this set 1 chair had a leg fall off. I looked and noticed the mounting holes for the screws were stripped. Then I check the 3 other chairs and 2 more have the exact same leg horribly loose. If I would have looked closer at the build style I would never have bought these chairs. I was told but the sales lady that this was one of their top and best built sets. We called them and informed them we wanted replacements, but we had to wait multiple days until their warranty guy could come look at the chairs to say "yep they are broken" and order replacements. Well ordering the replacements took a good bit of time. Then when calling to follow up on the chairs I was told twice they were not in even though we were told they should be in by a certain day. When the chairs did come in we were told they could not be delivered the next day....in fact not till the following week. We have family coming in this weekend and no where to sit and eat. It took multiple calls to the store...speaking to an assistant manager and the main manager to even be told that I could get my chairs delivered before this weekend. By that time I was DONE....TOO MANY CALLS to get these chairs resolved. This leaves me with ZERO confidence in their warranty and if we have more issues with the set. We have had this set for 2 months and not used it ONCE! To top it all off they left the broken chairs at our house and I was told they would not take them until the new set comes....What the heck!!! The one chair only has 3 legs and will not stand without leaning against the table. If you brush it when walking past it falls HARD on the floor. I also have a 5 year old and it has been a nightmare trying to keep him off the 3 broken chairs so he doesn't get hurt. I am DONE with Ashley and will take my...

We couldn't be happier with our recent sectional purchase from this Ashley HomeStore. Most of this credit goes to our salesperson, Lauren; she was absolutely amazing and I only have great things to say about her. I originally called this store looking for a different sectional which had been back ordered everywhere and Lauren recommended a very similar sectional for us to look at. I was dead set on the original one we wanted but didn't want to wait months for it so I figured we'd at least give her recommendation a shot. I'd also like to point out that this whole transaction was done over the phone and through texting due to our busy schedule and strong desire to find a sectional very quickly (Lauren even texted me pictures of the display sectional in the store to give me a better feel for the color). We ended up loving her recommendation of the Amandine and ordered it over the phone with her on a Tuesday and set up for delivery on Saturday (only 3 days after ordering!). Unfortunately, our location was outside of their delivery area but Lauren worked her magic and found a way for us to get the sectional delivered to our home since we were in such a hurry to get it. The delivery guys were AMAZING as well! They were prompt and extremely helpful in helping my boyfriend get everything set up also. The couch itself is wonderful; it's extremely comfortable but still a bit firm so as not to sink. which is exactly what we were looking for. The color is perfect and seems that it won't show dirt which is great considering we have 3 dogs. It seems very sturdy and built well (which is the biggest issue we've had in the past with our couches; being built very lousy). It's very scary to make such a big purchase sight and comfort unseen but Lauren made the whole process very easy and put my mind at ease.
