I honestly did NOT know what to expect. My friend found out about my situation and sent me like 10 places and for some reason this one stood out! Man God was with me because they went ABOVE And beyond for me!!! I dont want to say exactly what they did because every case and situation is different but man I cried! Mrs. Scott is a ANGEL (plus sheâs a SCOTT of course she is awesome lol)such a beautiful soul and didnât make me feel bad about my situation. I felt so comfortable opening up to her which I donât do often! I will say this! I went a couple of days before Christmas so it was PACKED the timeframe they gave you isnât accurate but be PATIENT!!!!! I heard a few people going off about the timeframe and being longer than expected but remember YOU are needing their help! Itâs hard sometimes going through things and needing help but at least think about the staff!!!!! I wonât be in my situation too much longer and Iâm going to volunteer next year!!! Oh and I seen a review about the time. On the door it says please get there BEFORE 1pm! I hope this helps someone â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸...
Read moreI usually have really good things to say about this place, but my previous experience has been terrible. It already takes a great deal of pride and need to come into these places so if you have to you must be in need. One of the younger Hispanic girls is very rude, I usually see how she handles other in there and the one time I asked her a question she was very rude to me as well. Briana the manager and the new director are not helpful. Instead of helping they send out dated resources that they havenât even fact checked to see if they are still active. The case manager Yvette was going on and one about how the new director is making all type of changes making it harder to be seen and get resources. The only thing they willing to help with is the food pantry and some days they donât even have food. I feel like there should be people working here who actually have a God spirit and want to help. The people who currently work here act and look burnt out and donât really wanna help just getting a pay check. Either this place needs to be closed down...
Read moreThis organization needs to change their name. You go in there sit for hours, give them your whole life, financial situation, bank statements, kids verification for school, to only get told we can't help you. If someone comes with an eviction notice and you tell them "oh we helped with a light bill last year so we are unable to assist you right now." That's kind of frustrating and a waste of time. It already takes humility and swallowing of pride to ask for help so where is the Grace in that. As a Christian I'm a firm believer that when someone ask for help you do whatever it takes because that is how Jesus operates. So many people miss opportunities to be a blessing because of the concern they won't have enough. But if we give, which we are called to do God blesses us with so much more. I'm glad I have Jesus and he always...
