I ordered a A birthday card in Italian for my grandfather in law who lives in Montreal. I live in Dallas. I drove all the way out to this location in Grapevine. On my way to pick my daughter up from the airport. When I get in, there is a young male - African-American, who was very kind and asked if I how I was doing and if I needed help. I said I am well, and said yes I’m here to pick up a card under my name. I gave him my name and I waited at the register while another employee - a woman named CJ who was helping another customer while I waited decided to tell me you need to show your ID. I said excuse me for a four dollar gift card? I will show you the confirmation and shouldn’t you be helping the customer that you’re talking to right now?

The young man comes back and says here you go ma’am and I said well CJ wants me to show you my ID so I’m going to show you my confirmation sent to my email on my phone. Is that OK? He said yes ma’am that would be fine. CJ decides to STILL chime in and say that is not good enough. We need to see her ID. We always ask for ID.

This is not going to be allowed… Racial profiling is never a good idea!

Terry Is the young man’s name I believe. I appreciate his customer service but I do not appreciate being asked to show my government ID to pick up a four dollar card when I have the confirmation email. CJ gets zero stars if I could...

Visited a few days ago. Haven't been here since it reopened. Walked in was never greeted. Walked around had a question went to register stood there wasn't acknowledge till I spoke up. While 3 employees were engaged in a conversation. Definitely was a shock because usually Halmarks customer service is a 1000 time better than that I received. The store wasn't busy. But I stood there waiting 3 minutes gave them the benefit to speak...

I absolutely adore the lovely women who work at this location. They are so helpful. Should you be looking for something you can’t find and you can’t forget the delicious candy and fudge that they have. Sometimes I just go into look around usually I find something I want as well as it’s my go to for greeting cards...
