To whom it may concern , After being a VIP customer for over 20 years I have decided I will no longer be shopping at DSW. I purchased many many shoes and boots for my kids and myself Fall season and Christmas season. I am an extremely busy mom of 3 and the only way for me to shop or purchase things for my kids , is to purchase and bring the items home , have them try on said items and let me know if they want to keep the things I have bought. If they don’t like the things or the things don’t fit, I return the items. DSW in its infinite wisdom , has decided to hire a third party to determine if a customer has returned to much and then this third party denies the return . Doesn’t matter if customer has receipt , shoes are unworn, etc. Return is denied . Not only do I believe this to be unethical and highly assuming on DSW / 3 party companies part, it is highly offensive . The fact that DSW and this third party assume that there is reward $$ fraud (which is what I was told was the reason ) is unfounded . If DSW was concerned that customers were buying shoes to collect reward $$ and then return the shoes keeping the rewards , then DSW should come up with a better system to take the reward money off each shoe so that if the shoe is returned , then the customer receives the price of the shoe less the rewards $$. Many companies do business this way. I was told DSW doesn’t want to “take from their customers”. So let’s accuse them of wrong doing by denying returns based on how much they have returned of their purchases ? Terrible policy DSW. And don’t tell me “it’s not DSW, it’s the third party company”. DSW hired this company to do their dirty work. Not only did DSW ,through this 3rd party , claim through their denial of my return that I was dishonest, but tried to force/bully me to keep shoes that didn’t fit/work for my kids. There are so many other stores for me to purchase my shoes from, Zappos, Nordstrom, and many more online that I don’t need to shop DSW. I was told , after refusing to leave without my refund, that they would do my returns “this time” but that it would happen again if I bought shoes and chose not to keep them . Well keep your shoes DSW, I am done...
Read moreI usually love shopping here, but it's been a challenge lately. Womens size 9 must be the norm any more because it's rare that I can find that size. Now, if I wanted stilletos or wide shoes, they'd have them. I wear a 9, a true 9, more on the narrow side, but a nice hand knit pair of thick wool socks takes up the slack. I know they will order and ship to your house for free, I've done that 3 times. And, 3 times I've had to drive back to the store for poor fit. Maybe the person who's ordering the stock should order twice as many 9's. That way, shoe lovers like me can...
Read moreIn general I would recommend DSW, but unfortunately this location had a series of Miscommunications. First, our sales lady was more interested in going home then helping me and my daughter with our purchase. Secondly, one pair of shoes had a mismatch of sizes and were unwilling to rectify the problem. Thirdly, the lady kept rushing us ( being that she wanted to get home) and was on able to help us with our DSW coupons. I would hope if you go into the store, they would be willing to help you, apparently not at...
