I have never had a bad experience at crave until today! I came in with my friend at 9, an hour before closing. It was enough time before closing that I would think that there would still be cookies being made. I was very excited to try the Cookie Monster. Unfortunately, as I went to order it, the cashier told me I couldnât order it because they were all out. He said it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I said I didnât mind waiting, but he then tried to convince me out of waiting by selecting a different cookie. I didnât really want a different cookie, but reluctantly and after a conversation about how they were closing in an hour and out of almost out of every cookie, I selected a different cookie. I would not have had an issue with this interaction if it didnât feel rushed and rude. The worker said he could add on the other cookie later once it was finished cooking in about 15 minutes (it never was finished though!). I sat inside for a minute while my friend ordered a soda. About 2 minutes after I ordered the cookie that they supposedly had, a worker rushed over to me asking if I would take a different cookie instead since they were out of the cookie that I ordered. I politely declined since I wasnât interested in any of the other cookies and again said I was okay with waiting. After about 10 minutes, a worker brought my cookie to me. As they gave the cookie to me, I asked if they had any Cookie Monster cookies, since by this point it would have been about 15 minutes. Both workers again said no and that it would still be a long wait and restated that they were closing soon (in 40 minutes though..?). After trying the cookie they gave me, it seemed as though it wasnât fully cooked on the inside, which I have never seen in a cookie from crave and I have visited about 10 times. I wouldnât have an issue with this if I came closer to closing time or if I didnât see the cookie being made for other customers, but something just didnât feel right or fair about the whole interaction. I have came in an hour before closing time multiple times before and never had this issue, so I am unsure as to why it...
Read moreChilled Biscoff OREO: Crave Cookies was founded in 2019 by Trent and Becky English. According to the backstory, Trent was fed up with biting into overpriced cookies, only to realize they were the same basic flavor masquerading under a layer of new frosting. If that isn't a jab at competitor Crumbl Cookies than the mention on their website of "Crave Cookies doesn't just CRUMBLE the cookie mold, it obliterates it." certainly is. This was my first visit to Crave, so I was excited to see how it faired vs Crumbl. I went with the Chilled Biscoff OREO as it seemed like an easy win for Crave as I love OREOs, cookie butter, and I prefer my cookies with frosting. The cookie is made with sugar dough and then topped with cool cookie-butter frosting, crushed OREO, and a cookie-butter drizzle. I thought the cookie butter frosting was delicious, but it's not Crumbl's superb cream cheese frosting. Where the cookie really falls short though is its body. It reminded me of a shortbread cookie and was very crumbly. With Trent's mission of wanting to create a more unique cookie, it seems a little ironic that sugar cookie dough is used instead of cookie butter flavored or OREO flavored dough. Same basic flavor hiding under a layer of new frosting.... Don't get me wrong, this is still a tasty cookie, but it's not the complete package. I also can't judge the bakery based on a single cookie flavor alone. The best cookies I've had from Crumbl (have a dense, soft, chewy, thick, and buttery body with their phenomenal cream cheese frosting) are better than this one, but Crave's is also better than the worst ones I've had from Crumbl. Just okay đ for now, but they still get a couple more chances to change my mind. Doughboy_Food_Reviews *Staff were friendly, and I do like that my order was prepared and ready ahead of time. While Crumbl allows orders ahead of time, they don't prepare it until you arrive, which sucks if...
Read moreSaw they had the crookie and was so excited to try it. Ordered it and was highly disappointed when it didnât have any pistachio crème filling inside, I was under the impression this is how it came so we rated it a 3/10 I was telling my friend I donât recommend and she showed me a video that itâs supposed to have the pistachio filling inside and thatâs why it was bland a dry so I called and talked to an employee and asked if itâs supposed to have the filling and they confirmed it is. After confirming I let them know mine didnât have any when I came in and he apologized and that was it. Pretty disappointed that I wasnât offered anything to rectify the situation after spending $8 on this specific Dubai chocolate crookie. If it was missing the drizzle I could understand and I wouldnât waste my time but we were looking forward to trying, I checked everyday for the past week and a half to make sure it was available so when I had the extra money we could get it. The main ingredient missing with no offer to correct the situation after having to pay $8 for it highly disappointed. Giving 3 stars because we have come a couple times and my daughter and I love the Dubai chocolate...
