We purchased a washing machine from Best Buy. It stopped working so we called to have them repair it. When they sent someone out, the repairmen said they needed other parts, understandably. The repairmen said "when the parts arrive call us and we will come out and install them". We called, no answer for a couple days straight. When we finally communicated with them they said they were "really backed up and couldnt send someone out right away". Then they outsource the Repair Order to A&E Factory Services. The guy came out and said the three parts we have been sitting with for 3 weeks were missing a piece. He tried blaming the parts manufacturer then blamed Best Buy/Geek Squad. Then he even blamed the guy that came before him. My mother originally called to set this up but she just kept getting the run around. I honestly think it's because her english is a bit broken and they thought they could just give her the run around until the warranty expires in September. We have been without a washer for over 2 months now. Horrible service all around from Geek Squad to A&E and their repairmen. We still do not have a washer and its July 10th. Best Buy is my go to for Electronics and I have purchased many from them. Walmart has similar products sometimes even cheaper but they're warranty companies work fast, I've dealt with them personally. Read moreAfter almost an hour on the phone, I was told to take my device to a best buy geek squad for them to repair. Due to damage not being covered by the plan it would be about $200. When I arrived at the dead Best Buy on a Saturday early afternoon, I waited in the geek squad area which appeared to be closed. Eventually someone came out and greeted me with, "Do you have an appointment?" I shared that I did not and the conversation I had with customer service. The tech did not even look at the device and declared they won't touch it as I didn't purchase the additional protection plan. If I wanted, they would send it put. Cost just to send it was $85 and screen would be at least $300 more.
Update: While still on the parking lot of this store, I called PC Repair and Networking in West Allis. They said to stop by anytime during open hours. I stopped 20 minutes later and was greeted by a polite, knowledgeable young man. He asked a few basic questions and shared that as they were closing, they would not have an estimate until The next day. Received a call the next afternoon. Work would take 2 days and cost $185 with labor and tax. Received a call two days later that it was done, confirmed the price and as my work hours run long, they offered to stay later so I could pick up. Recently my S7's camera lens shattered unexpectedly . I pay monthy for a protection plan from these scam artists. I tried to use my warranty to get this issue fixed, they said to call a number and get things approved online. I did, however the catch is they wanted to charge $150 for a service fee. I could not believe they would charge that much money even though I pay for a protection plan. I looked around and had it fixed by UBREAKIFIX and they did a fantastic job, and guess what? It was $30! I will NEVER EVER shop at best buy/use geek squad again. I am planning on returning anything and everything I have recently purchased from them and buying those things...
