Update 12/5/19: I don't like to shop at Kohl's. I don't seem to be able to find what I want and often you have to order it online or you have to chase from store to store. Then there's the whole sales thing. I just want to buy what I need when I need it. I don't want to have to wait for sales because everything is overpriced, and I don't want to have to figure out the limitations of the percentage off coupons and the Kohl's cash and their limitations; one clerk saying you can't buy this with that coupon and another clerks says, oh yes you can.
I was in today. I was trying to find some accessories to the ninja foodi I purchased on Black Friday through Kohl's. On Black Friday the accessories were listed as available in the store (except the dehydrator rack). After searching, I can't find the accessories. I searched for over a half an hour for a clerk. I finally found one in jewelry. She said there's only one floor clerk at 2 in the afternoon and he was running a register. So she has to call him off of the register. While we were waiting for him the jewelry clerk told me I could not buy those accessories with the 25% off coupon because they are an excluded item. Then she says I have to have to kohl's wallet. I don't have the app, I don't have an account with them, and I surely don't want to set up an account & then the wallet to use the Kohl's cash. Finally the young man comes. Here's really nice. He tells me the accessories aren't going to be in store (they were pulled) until the day AFTER my Kohl's cash expires. But I could order them online. But then I have to pay shipping or order over $50. Then he says he can save me the shipping if I order at the store kiosk. Ok. So we walk to the back of the store. He tries and tries. Not working. After several calls to someone they decide the kiosk isn't working properly. I'll have to order $50 to get the shipping free. What a convoluted crock!! I wasted over an hour there and walked out with nothing except a renewed frustration over the whole Kohl's experience and reinforcement of why I don't shop there.
And don't get me started on the parking lot. That's another nightmare.
Old review: Easy on and out for Amazon return - although I went mid-day on a weekday. Only one parking space allotted for this. There were 4 people in line. Went quickly though. The clerk marked my return as damaged. It wasn't damaged! It was defective, two different things! Damage is something I or the shipper did, defective is a product fault. Thankfully Amazon gave me credit anyway without question. I thought it'd be in for a round of emails with Amazon. Thankful for the service. Still...
Read moreExtremely Disappointing Experience with Store Manager
Today I had a very upsetting experience at this Kohl's location on 8750 W Sura Ln, Greenfield, WI. Right as we walked in, Cam, the store manager, approached us and immediately said no dogs were allowed. I explained that my dog is a service dog and under ADA laws, he is allowed in the store. When she asked for documentation, I informed her that service dogs don’t require documentation and even clarified what she was legally allowed to ask.
Cam claimed that my service dog wasn't permitted because "other people were shopping" and he might relieve himself in the store. Her comment was both insulting and completely ignorant of the law. Despite explaining multiple times that my dog is a service animal, she insisted that I leave.
At this point, my boyfriend, knowing Cam was in the wrong, found the lipstick I was looking for and encouraged me to follow him. Cam rudely told me I could get that one item and then needed to leave immediately. She proceeded to follow me closely, which felt like an attempt to intimidate us.
To make matters worse, Cam was filming us the entire time. When we started filming back, she pretended to straighten clothes but then resumed recording us. She refused to repeat her name when I asked and also wouldn’t give me the Kohl’s store number. Although she maintained a rude attitude, she still made sure to check us out at the register.
When I initially asked for the manager, she responded, "I am the manager!" in a very snide tone, which is completely inappropriate for someone in her position.
I was so shaken by how she handled the situation that I began to tremble. A store manager should absolutely be aware of ADA laws. It's shocking that Kohl's hasn't made this a priority. People with disabilities should take caution when visiting this location.
I will also be reporting this incident to agencies that handle ADA law enforcement in the hope that others are spared from...
Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 5/28/25, and even WORSE assistance from the Manager. Over the past two years, I have been giving Kohls a trial run, to see if they will be my go-to store like Boston Store used to be for the previous 25 years. Well this is the 2nd time now where they missed the customer service mark! I purchased some items and then left on vacation a short time after. I didn’t realize the male associate charged me a higher price for the underwear which were all on clearance. Had that first error not happened I probably would have kept everything in my original purchase. But, then I realized the bras were also on special and the associate never mentioned it. It was buy one, get one half off for Vanity Faire. I only wanted to keep 2, and wanted to return all of the other items plus all of the underwear. I wanted to make sure the price of the 2 bras that I was keeping, were maintaining the special price. The clerk didn’t understand me. To just simplify things, I asked her if she could return everything and then re-ring the items and manually enter the discounted price that I had originally had. And I had used a gift Visa card. The clerk was not tracking at all. Bottom line, I returned everything expect for one bra and ONLY because I had already put it on. Then the clerk didn’t give me the sale price, and the gift card that she returned the items to declined because now she said I had to wait 7-10 days for that refund to show up on that Visa gift card!...
