It's been a long time since my fiancé and I purchased from here, so I hope things have changed for the better. The first issue is that we went to this store because of all the excellent reviews. After we purchased the appliance, we were told that they have a 90-day warranty, but they would extend it to 120 days if we left a 5-star review. So take the reviews with a grain of salt.
The second issue is that we had a difficult time with the appliance we purchased. The gentleman who sold it to us did eventually did make it right (except for the $250 worth of groceries we had to replace...though he did give us $50 to help with that), and it is still working, but the experience was overall very unpleasant. The short version is that the fridge needed freon, and as a result, it would not get cold. That seems to me like something that is very easy to check, and it should not have even left the store without it having been checked and recharged, if necessary. If you sell an appliance, you should make sure it works first, right? Then he had the gall to blame me for the problems that followed. Honestly, I waited so long to post this because I didn't want to risk the backlash from the manager at the store.
The long version is our refrigerator died completely, so we needed a new one right away. We bought a fridge right before they closed on day 1, and we were told it would be delivered in the morning on day 2. After sitting plugged in all day, it was still the same temperature it was when it was delivered, so the salesperson (manager? owner?) we dealt with said he would sent out a tech to take a look at it on the morning of day 3. As a woman, I was not comfortable having a stranger in my home while I was alone, and my fiancé had to work, so I asked him to please send the tech after my fiancé got home from work at 3:30. When the tech came, it was close to closing time again, and the tech had left his freon at the store, which he needed to fix it, so the man at the store said he would send the tech back on the morning of day 4. At this point I was upset, we'd lost $250 worth of groceries over this fridge. When I called the store to voice my complaint, the manager said that it was MY fault, that if I had let the tech come earlier in the day, he would have been able to go back, get the part, and return the same day to fix it. While yes, this is true, I firmly believe that I have the right to decide who I do and do not let into my home, and when. I should not have to be in a situation where I feel uncomfortable, especially in my own home. So for him to say that it was MY FAULT that the fridge wasn't fixed (because the tech had left part of his toolkit at the store) was uncalled for, and unfair to us.
Anyway, after all was said and done, the fridge was finally fixed, and has not given us any trouble since then, so for that I am happy. I'm just not at all impressed with the level of customer service...
Read moreI hate that Iâm posting this so late! 6 months after I moved and bought the amazing pair of washer n dryerâŠthatâs completely non- digital but made solid and more durable to last in time than the newer ones Iâve had and hated. -Beyond, that was a very generous and honest man that I found when a delivery turned haywire w/ a pipe burst during installation. Apparently just an old part from a home I was renting. Had a long history of incredibly traumatic events of each and every New Yearâs Eve since I can remember⊠and this one ended w/ peace⊠đ Nevertheless, the man I purchased my washer/dryer set from was the owner and he was there quickly to take care of everything⊠The name escapes me right now, but he is the owner and a genuine hero- in my opinion! And Iâve wanted to share this for a long time- Bc I think itâs important to know the greatest qualities in people- that are only sometimes seen in a catastrophe!!! -So, in sum, if you are seeking honesty in a mom n pop used appliance store-you found it- Donât know what people look for in these reviews. I seldom right then and only glance or scan them at times⊠âLet me end and just say- You canât get this kind of genuine customer service-from the heart at any corporate massive entity of major chainsâŠAmazon, websites⊠whoever⊠You canât get that human connectionâŠthat reminds us-to the core and depths of our being, that weâll make it- The turmoil of my recent events of life with a black belt of very traumatic and tether deaths/ losses⊠manifested in this night⊠And I was reminded, no matter how bad it gets, God will show up and send an Angel or an army- And this night he sent a few- Sorry for the the narrative reviewâŠand I really am a psychotherapist and a young lady that lost a mother and a husband in the same breath⊠who loves to express emotions into words⊠Needless to say- đđ...
Read moreThe fact that this business offers an extra warranty if you leave a review, should have been my sign to go elsewhere. I purchased a stackable washer and dryer for $525 plus a $50 set up and delivery fee. Five days later when it was delivered, I contacted them and advised the dryer did not work at all (so I had wet clothes with no way to dry them). They did not send anyone back out immediately, instead it was three days later when their âservicemanâ came out and advised me that the motor was blown and the stackable would need to be âswapped outâ- so someone would be in touch. After not receiving a call from anyone, I reached out and was told they needed a few days to, âmake something shakeâ. I explained I was on medical leave because I had surgery the day before- so going to a laundromat wasnât an option, and I needed a resolution quickly. Long story short, very unprofessional and not accommodating whatsoever. I would have to call from unknown numbers, otherwise my calls, texts, and voicemails would go unanswered. I dealt with âCJâ the entire time and I never received a sincere apology nor did they go above and beyond to correct their mistake. I had to end up telling them I would pursue legal action if the matter wasnât resolved. They finally delivered another machine but the headache and stress from dealing with this company is enough for me to write this review and warn any potential buyers to be aware. I am non confrontational, but it was such a struggle to be polite to these people. However, I maintained my professionalism (not even a rude or snarky tone/message)- but they could definitely benefit from a course in good customer service. Overall, the washer is really loud when it cycles but at least it works and so does the dryer. Certainly would not recommend. There are far better choices to choose from in...
