Gretchen's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Greensboro

My SIL and I went into the Hallmark at Friendly Ctr looking only for a specific Jim Shore ornament. As we entered, we were almost immediately greeted by a very tall, young man who informed us that holiday items had been marked to 75% the day before and they had been extremely busy all day…however, there were still many nice items remaining that he would be glad to help us find. Though he kept quite busy the entire time, never once being idle… I was aware that he greeted everyone with the same smile and enthusiasm….young, old, male, female, black or white! He also made a pointed out his female coworkers in a simple, complimentary way prompting them to be polite as well. To bring my post to a close…before we left there, this man (I found his name was Michael) had us customers (who were strangers to one another) laughing and stating out first names and asking each other where we were from! Several of us said that it was the highlight of our day! God bless this rare employee in today’s world who acted as though assisting customers was a pleasure, not a nuisance! I won’t give my business to any other Hallmark as long as my experience in this one proves stress free and even fun!! Went in yesterday evening after a less pleasurable experience at Ann Crttndn’s Hallmark. I have never met two more pleasant and welcoming employees in a business. They were kind, offered assistance, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I don’t know who trained them or who the manager is but they have two phenomenal employees that have learned from exemplary leadership. We are so excited to come back and buy more from you! My wife used to love shopping here but today she went in to shop for Mother’s Day cards and gifts. She was in there for at least 15-20 minutes before an employee even said something to her. However there were other people in the store at the same time (who don’t look like her)and the employees acknowledged them immediately. One of the employees was right beside my wife stocking shelves and still did not say anything to her.
