Dentist is great but the billing department is very incompetent. My kids are double insured and had a service in May of 2018. They love the Dentist, however the billing receptionist is terrible. They stated at first they could not bill more than one insurance policy and decided to bill the one that they thought would pay. That was the first error. If you have two insurance policies one is primary and the other is secondary. If filed correctly they would both pay, it is done all the time. However this lady stated that they will only file to the company that they wanted, which ended up being the secondary insurance. When the secondary insurance company denied the service due to having a primary, the receptionist stated that they would file it with the primary. The issue became that they never filed the primary until January of 2019. The whole time they stated they had sent claims in, but they were never sent. They stated they sent the claims to me but they never did. They lied countless times and refused to take ownership in their own incompetence. It's very unfortunate that because they don't know how to file insurance, and their patients are asked to do their jobs for them. Again i have no problem with the Dentist, he is excellent, however the billing department needs to be retrained on how to be transparent, ethical and how to file insurance to get paid. It should not take 8 months to file a claim for a routine visit. My insurance company received the claim and processed it within 29 days, but they want to blame the insurance company for not receiving a claim they never sent....
Read moreThe ladies that work in this office obviously feel that my time being wasted is funny. When you call the office they do not appropriately answer the phone, you have to verify who you’re speaking with. The appointment day and time you scheduled may not be the date and time they actually scheduled you for and when you inquire on the lack of communication, they tend to hand up the phone. This is only my 3rd visit to this location and my daughter has only been seen once due to scheduling issues. No one is able to verify the information they send out confirming appointments and as a woman of color, they often try and insinuate that you are being rude when you ask uncomfortable questions. My daughter will not be returning considering she was never able to get an actual appointment here. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON OTHER FACILITIES AND DO NOT TAKE YOIR CHILD HERE. The office sits at the top of friendly Avenue and evidently they are above the appropriate level of customer service. These women do not want you in their office.

Read moreNot really pleased with how GCPD operates their practice. The whole services performed and billing practices are quite dodgy. We don't carry dental insurance but am asked to pay up front before any services are performed. Then when I go to checkout, I'm told I owe a higher bill than what I paid while waiting in my car to enter. When I inquired as to why the bill was higher and I owed more, I was told that one of my children needed additional x-rays. I'm waiting in the lobby so why can't someone come out and just ask me if I want this done instead of just assuming or performing the services anyway without my knowledge or consent? This is why I want and ask for an itemized bill before I pay to see what services are being performed and wanting to see which ones are necessary and which ones optional and make an informed decision. But this is all after the fact. I'm told I'll receive one upon checking out and not before. Dental services aren't cheap so I'm trying to save where I can but I just feel like you're nicking me.
