Yard House — Restaurant in Greenville

This is currently one of our favorite restaurants since they’ve been consistent each time we eat here. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is nice and relaxing(chill). You can go here for a fancy dinner/date and sit in a nice booth, which we have, or just chill and watch sports at the bar. There are TVs visible from the booths as well though. There’s a good amount of room, so you don’t have to worry about feeling congested or clumsy with other customers and tables. Food: We always get the Korean chili garlic gardein wings 🤤 for starters. They have an amazing layer of breading with a great crunch and flavor and then the meat is tender, cooked perfectly! My children have decided to get the wings as their main dish instead of ordering from the kids menu. My husband usually gets the whiskey glazed salmon with extra glaze on the side 🤤. The salmon has never been overcooked and dry. It does come with some mashed potatoes and broccoli and carrots on the side. The vegetables aren’t seasoned, but are cooked well, so we use the extra glaze and it’s good on the vegetables. The mashed potatoes are seasoned and good! I always get the Baja beer battered shrimp tacos, with the Spanish rice and beans and it’s so so good 🤤! I have yet to try anything else in the six+ times we’ve gone to eat here but when I do I’ll update my review. My daughter had the vampire tacos and she said they were fantastic. My husband just decided to take a risk and not order the salmon so that he could try the Korean barbecue cheesesteak and said it was really good! No regrets! Service: Pretty good! Never have a problem. Our last waiter, which served us another time before and he was great, was kind of slow not paying attention sometimes but nothing that was terrible! Most likely ready to go home since it was between 9-10pm. They’re human too. Birthday: They give you a free brownie with ice cream on top with caramel and chocolate syrup. Our children love to go here for their birthdays too! 5/14/23 Back for dinner after seeing Book Club The Next Chapter. We had a 45 minute wait and enjoyed the Pineapple Express & a Hawaiian Mule drinks at the bar with an order of Wisconsin Cheese Curds at the bar. Our bartender was Samuel D. and he was amazing! Loved our drinks and the appetizer. When our table was ready we met our server Casey I. who handled our orders, kept our drinks refilled and checked on us frequently. We loved our food, the kitchen is so good at making everything delicious! We had the Spicy Beef Noodles & a Kale Romaine Caesar Salad with Grilled Shrimp. Casey was so attentive. always smiling even though he had numerous large parties and extremely busy. We loved our visit and will definitely be back. ♥️ Tef 5/6/23 From the smiling greeting as we entered by Skye & Ricky to the end of our visit this place makes you welcome & takes good care of you. Our server Cheyenne was essentially awesome! He managed to get everything we wanted and made sure my nephew's dietary needs to be both dairy and gluten free were met. He never let us wait for drink refills & followed up to ensure we had everything as well. The kitchen staff was on point everything was fresh, cooked perfectly, deliciously seasoned. Loved the 20 ounce ribeye with broccoli, & brown rice and the Thai grilled pork chop with bok choy, snow peas, cauliflower rice, carrots & onions and a sweet spicy dipping sauce with sesame seeds. The house salad only comes dressed with balsamic vinaigrette which is absolutely amazing tasting. It features fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, carrots, onions & cheese. Everything we were served exceeded the expectations. Manager Nick checked in on our experience and even brought our dessert order to the table. We came in not knowing what to expect . And we got a very good surprise all around. We sat at the bar and we're immediately greeted and asked what we would like to drink . My daughter who is almost 22 had never had a beer . Well we asked what they had. Well a very large selection what what we found out. The bartender a very nice young lady help my daughter with a selection of a few lighter fruity flavors and she tried 6 and picked one . She asked what we would like to order but I had not had a chance to look at their extensive menu. So she said she would make a lap and come back by. We looked at the menu and made a choice and was helped by one of the other bartenders who took our order and placed it . We were then handed our order by a kitchen runner who brought out our order . And was plesently surprised by the portion size . This place is not your average restaurant they serve you an actual meal and the plates are full . Not just a scoop of this with mashed potatoes you get a real meal and the taste is perfect. I had a double patty burger that was cooked to my requested temp. And every meal is pretty much done to order . The atmosphere is absolutely great and the other customers here are just like a friend you haven't met yet we had a few different people who sat at the bar next to us as we watched the football game and had very nice conversations with them all as we ate and watched the game no yelling or arguing about who's team was better or worse just a great time had by all. And the staff at the bar is one of the most cohesive group working together for one goal the customers satisfaction .. they were very nice and respectful to all and they were treated the same by everyone I saw .
