Two Stars and Two Things. #1: They saved me a lot of money. #2: Money ain't everything. I have wanted my first Harley for a long time now. I've owned almost everything else but I never took a Triumph Speed Triple, etc to H-Dog to shop. I don't understand why, but NONE of the sales persons would even make eye contact. After several tries over a year + of the same thing, I was ready to buy, regardless. And just for the record, I don't dress up nor down, just jeans and a T-shirt like most others. I'm a professional and I've gotten to that point in life, thankfully, that I can pretty much have whatever I want. Don't need financing. You'd think they could smell that type of buyer. I found what I wanted like many, with Al Gore's invention, the interwebz. It was a never-before model designation and came with everything I could want and a couple of things I could live without. Not a cheap bike. 110 inch motor, ABS, cruise, etc. They didn't have one yet. Located one at another SC dealer that would involve a bit of driving and a trailer. Gave me a very, very good price over the PHONE! We had never even met! But that drive, I don't know. So, checked with H-Dog, whatever that means. Didn't have one. OK, I can give you a grand to hold it whenever. How much? Well, the tall, thin salesman with the interesting voice deferred to some finance type guy or could have been the owner for all I know. He quoted: MSRP, delivery + setup, tax, tags and all other normal legitimate charges, in case I am forgetting some. Okay, that total plus $500.00! Um...come again? I apparently heard him right. They called it "Dealer Premium." I imagine most of us would call it something else. I then told him that I had secured a MUCH better deal just miles away. He checked with numbers guy. No change. Without actually saying it, he said take it or leave it. I left it. Drove a few miles and saved quite a good bit of cash that same day. Made sure to ride it to the shop the following day. Since they didn't have one, mine caused quite a stir. One of their female employees was so excited when I told her that, yes, of course she could sit on it. Good fun. Point being, I'm a reasonable guy. I was not and am not mad with them for ignoring me and my money all those times. Not even for attempting to do something pretty foul to me while calling it "Dealer Premium." But bottom line is, you have the same product to sell as every other dealer. The only way you can make yourself stand out in my mind is by the way you treat me. And that ship has sailed. It can return, but for now, you know how that goes. The somewhat humorous part of this debacle is that, when they finally got the bike, it sat there and it sat there and it sat there some more. And the DEMAND was there, heck, a buddy of mine wanted it! Presumably, it sat because of that "DP," I guess we can call it. I even took a picture of that price tag for those days that I need a laugh or if I ever start feeling like I spent too much for MY bike. HA! Yep, they saved me some real money. That is why this review is not ONE STAR! Maybe they can save you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to Greenville HD on 10/12/25. Dealt with salesperson Hope. Had talked with her off and on several days prior about purchasing a 2014 Vrod Muscle. I had asked for photos and service history. Which she did provide. However, whenever I arrived, me and my wife located her and she took me to see the bike. I began to inspect as I am a mechanic. There was an aftermarket seat cover not properly installed on it. I pulled it up and the passenger and driver seat were pretty severely damaged. Which Hope did not share with me prior. Just said, "its a used bike". So I moved on. Kept looking at it and then found an oil leak coming from top of engine and below the air box. When I told her I found an oil leak, she just said, OK, and went back to texting on her phone. Like she didnt even care or could be bothered with the issues with the bike she was trying to sell. She did get someone from service over to let me show them the issues. I pointed out the oil leak. The service guy made his assumptions with what it could be and rolled the bike out. Hope then just told me and my wife to chill in the pre-owned showroom. I was very frustrated as we had driven over 2 hrs from GA to potentially buy this bike. As we waited, we got lucky and a customer noticed us looking around at bikes as we told him what happened and he mentioned Ol Reds cycles had a Vrod for sale. We immediately left Greenville HD and went there. Within an hr or so I got a cleaner Vrod, less miles, 1 year newer, better financing, and a warranty on the bike. When Hope asked if we were coming back I responded with, No. Not for that clapped out bike and showed her my new purchase and where I got it from. Ol Reds employees told me I was the 4th person that day that had dealt with Hope and ended up going there to purchase a motorcycle. My experience? Well Greenville HD staff will lie to make a sale. Their service is a joke. Even if they did inspect their bikes, they dont do a good job at all and dont fix the issues they have. Used or not. Their prices dont make sense and their financing isn't very good either from my experience. Also, they had a 2013 and 2014 vrod muscle in black. They posted pics of the 2014 vrod under the 2013 description while trying to sell that one. Hope denied them doing this. They lie. So save yourself the time and money and disappointment. Go get ya bike somewhere else like Ol Reds Cycles. Their staff will make you feel welcome and they are fast! Won't keep you waiting and address your issues. They helped my bad day turn into a good one and I even got a warranty to address any issues that need fixed on the bike. Greenville HD didnt even offer me that...
