First, let me start off by saying that when we walked in, it smelled like the play place at McDonald's. Someone greeted us and sat us promptly. The table we got looked like it had been carelessly wiped off, and the kiosk on the table had a film of smudges on it. So did the menus. Our waitress was nice and came over right away to take our orders. I ordered a plain gluten-free cheeseburger well done, and my husband ordered something spicy with cheese sauce all over it. Our drinks were prompt. Unfortunately, the cups they came in were both dirty. I didn't notice until i went to take a drink, and the rim tasted weird. Whatever, it was just water, so we both set them aside and ordered milkshakes
Our food came out quickly, but immediately, I hesitated because the bun did not look gluten-free, nor was it marked in any way that it could mean allergy friendly. Not to mention, it was fully loaded with everything. No biggie, I can take off what I didn't want. I ate my fries while I waited for her to come back, and she confirmed it was indeed not gluten-free and took it in back. Two minutes later, she came out with a fresh plate. Unfortunately, they took the burger off the old bun, plopped it on a gluten-free one, and slathered it in MORE mayo. (There was still lettuce stuck in the cheese, and the second one came with no lettuce - that's how I knew.) So my husband went over and had a conversation and she came back annoyed with the staff letting us know she would make it right. Meanwhile, my husband was done eating, and a manager came out and said sorry for the mixup and gave us a bunch of fries. (Like she was trying to apologize with fries) Annoyed my husband ate the fries, which weren't even the fries that had come with his meal i tried not to because I didnt want to fill up on fries. Finally, mine came out, plain on a gluten-free bun. By this time, I was unintentionally full, so we asked to get to go boxes and went to pay the bill.
Again, my husband had to go have a chat because they charged us for 3 burgers instead of two. After speaking with the manager, she took off the one but refused to make any compensation for my meal being wrong twice. Or the fact that my husband didn't get the bottomless fries he ordered.
Our waitress was very nice and really the only one doing any work there. Everyone else was sitting writing on little cards that I assumed they planned to hang somewhere, and the manager was sitting close by on her computer. She didn't give a ** about us or our meal.
I hate to say it, but I will NEVER eat at a Red Robin again after this experience.
Update: when we finally got checked into our hotel I got a stomach ache (that is specific to how I feel when I eat gluten) from what I assume was cross contamination and spent the rest of the night in the bathroom. Great way to start...
Read moreMe and my wife have ate here at least 30+ times since we moved to greenville in 2020. We’ve never had any issues with food or anything which is why we’ve always continued to come back. Our first time ever getting curbside pickup and the experience was absolutely horrible. We placed our order in the parking lot and it said it would be ready in 20 minutes. That was cool with us. But what really ruined the experience was the bad attitude from the girl coming out bringing food to people. She asked what our name was at 7:05 when she brought 2 other peoples food out which were the only other people getting curbside. She told us she’d go check on it for us. Fast forward 15 minutes its now 7:20 with no update. So we politely call and say “hi I was justing wanting to check on our curbside order” the girl that was bringing food outside was the one that answered and she said “ whats the name? And then says its getting packed right now so i’ll be out in a couple minutes” Okay cool. Fast forward 15 more minutes and she still hasn’t came out. 7:40 rolls around and she comes out but you can tell shes in a bad mood. Just hands us our food and turns around and walks away without saying anything. Well we get on the road and realize we didn’t even get the apple juice that was supposed to come with our kids meal nor did we get any silverware to eat our food with. (Didn’t realize until after we were on the highway) we didn’t turn back around it was whatever. Well then my wife grabs a fry and its stale. They taste like fries that have sat out for hours. EVEN the CHEESE on our garlic fries were stale. Hard as a rock not even slooping down if its hanging off the fries….. The rest of the fries are like this as well. And not only are they dry and stale but all of our food is COLD. How do we wait over 25 mins past when our food is supposed to be ready and receive stale cold food? We live on pelham so our drive is extremely short. Definitely not long enough for cold food. Anyways I’m extremely disappointed and will definitely not be coming back anytime soon. I don’t recommend anyone order curbside here. I posted pics of the fries. Its hard to tell over pics but if you’ve ate the fries here before you know they don’t look right nor...
Read moreI can say with 100% certainty that none of our party will ever return to RR after our father's day experience in Greenville, SC. To begin, we put in our table at 5:25 and was told it was a 20 min wait as well as receiving a confirmation text of a 20 min wait. After 30 mins of waiting, I approached the desk to check on the table/wait because we were trying to keep a one year old entertained. I was told three different stories as to why our table was gone. First that we didn't put our names in, then I showed the text. Then that they texted us it was ready (after saying we never put our names in??) but I showed no messages. Then that someone else took our table but we never heard our name. After getting it cleared up and being seated, we were told they were slammed but half the restaurant was empty. So I believe they meant understaffed, to which I understand because I have worked in the industry. We put our order in almost immediately and then began the wait for food. As we waited we noticed how filthy the surrounding area was. Grim was CAKED on the edges of the window area right by our shoulders (you can see it in the pic, it's dark and NOT part of the wood grain) and dead flies were right by our table (as seen in the other pic). At which point we debated leaving, but our server then came to offer a basket of fries to us while we waited. The said complimentary basket of fries (that we were supposed to enjoy while waiting) took 35 mins to reach our table and when it finally came it was cold, as if it sat for a while waiting to be brought to us. Another 30 mins passed putting us at 7pm (we arrived at 5:25) and our meals were served with a warm burger but MORE cold fries. But what bothered us the most was that our one year olds food, the Mac and Cheese, came out cold after she had waited so patiently since 5:25. After paying, we left and observed more filthy floors/areas on our way out. WOULD...
