On mother's day, my husband and son decided to take me out for wings because that's one of my favorite foods. We decided to go after the lunch time rush since all restaurants are very very busy on Mother's day. We arrived at about 3:30. When we walked in 3/4 of the tables we're dirty. I assumed that was because of the afternoon Mother's Day rush. There were probably five tables with customers and no cleaning tables. The hostess seated us fairly quickly and took our drink orders. She brought our drinks and told us that our waitress would be with us shortly. We sat for over a half an hour waiting. I finally decided to ask the hostess when she walked by who our waitress was because we hadn't seen anyone in 30 minutes. She said she would go find out. When she returned she offered to take our orders herself. In the restaurant, I saw one friendly looking waitress and one waitress who looked pretty ticked off. It wasn't very pleasant sitting in the midst of a bunch of dirty tables. I explained to the hostess who was taking our order that I understood that they probably had just gotten over a very large Mother's Day rush. I tried to be understanding but nobody bothered to clean any of the tables unless they had someone else that needed to be seated. We never saw our waitress and the hostess took care of us the entire time. I almost didn't leave a tip because I was afraid the waitress was going to get it instead of the hostess who actually served us. When it was time to leave, we were the second family in line trying to pay our bill and no one was at the register. Finally the hostess came and tried to ring us up, but there was a problem with one of the registers. So the very unhappy looking waitress came over looking as annoyed as she possibly could be and took our money. She was having a problem with the card reader on that register so she walked me across the restaurant to the register in the little waitresses nook. I'm trying to be friendly and chat with her and she ran my card. She rang my card up, handed me 3 receipts, a pin and then just walked away without another word. That little blonde hostess deserves a raise, and that irritated looking waitress needs to take a class in customer service. I don't know if they were short-staffed on top of it being mother's day, but that wasn't my fault. I did really enjoy my wings. My son said that his where edible, and my husband said that his sandwich, which was supposed to be like a Philly cheese steak, wasn't worth the money that he paid for it. My husband and son were very disappointed in the gift that they were giving me for mother's day. That made me feel bad. You guys have really got...
Read moreI can count on one hand how many times i have written into a company to day anything cause i honestly have better things to do with my life. The other night me and my wife came here to eat. This location had always failed in some service aspect but hey I belive places can change. We came and it was a little after 6pm. The place was empty but there was plenty of staff everywhere so I figured this will be easy. We get seated and they say our waitress will be with us in a minute. Almost 15 minutes later we see about 8 waitresses standing around the drink area laughing and having a good time so I ask a waitress near us to please go find our waitress cause we been sitting there for about 15 minutes and no one has come by. Finally someone comes and takes our order. We ordered an appetizer and out meals in one go. They bring us drinks and my mountain dew is out of syrup but I have had worse so I honestly just let it go. They bring us our appetizer and my wife's food at the same time but not mine. My wife's ask for new fries cause hers are clearly old, brown, and cold. They came back again and brought her fresh fries. Im just waiting now cause I want to see how long it will take them to notice I have no food in front of me in an empty restaurant. Our waiter comes back a while later now that my wife is done eating and I asked them how much longer my food will be and he says just a few more minutes and goes to the back. A few minutes later be brings my over fried still sizzling wings and what looks like the same old cold fries my wife sent back a while ago. By now I honestly dont care, im hungry and just want to eat and leave. Now im sure you here "I use to work in the food industry " or " I ran a restaurant one time" and to be real no one cares. At least I dont care when my customers tell me that cause I run a restaurant and still had my work cloths on with my company's logo on it. When a customer says their food is cold but there is clearly steam comming off it by all means they can go kick rocks. But if there is an issue and I determine its real I am all for how can we help make it better. But fo so many things to go wrong with a single order on a day the place is empty is beyond me. Idk ifnit was racial or if they thought we were some of those pathetic college kids they come in or what but I was actually impressed with my much went wrong at once. Like you have to try to mess that much stuff up. If you need more info please feel free to reach out. And please try to do something about that place. Its easy to make money there if you...
Read moreI think it’s time I retire this BWW as my wing spot. The food is always either cold, stale, or given with missing items.
Last night we ordered togo and half the order was missing. I was told that the missing half would be made right away. After waiting for 10mins, spoke to a waitress and she offered to “put our food on the warmer” because I had concerns about the wait time and the food we already had getting cold. She came back and said that kitchen would make the order from scratch. They said that the order would be given top priority and it would be out ASAP. We were told that we would get a full refund for the inconvenience. 15mins later the second half of the order was placed on the shelf. No one said anything, it was brought back.
After an hour, I spoke with a manager (Brittany or Brianna can’t remember the name) she was very apologetic and kept reiterating that she was new, they’re short staffed etc. I saw how busy it was, and I could empathize with that. However, I saw people who arrived for dine in and to go be served before we got our food. She said that she would be at the restaurant the next two days and that I could come back so she would sort out the refund (at this point I finally got the food.) She also promised a free remake of the meal. She took my phone number down and I left. The food was cold by the time we got home which is about 10mins away from the restaurant which I could assume means that we got the same food and nothing was “remade” ..the second half of the order was just added and they probably forgot about it.. because no one was communicating!
I came in the today to “get the refund sorted” and she looked so confused that I was back. She switched the narrative and said she said she’d call me if she had any issues. That was a lie. Long story short I left today with the verbal confirmation that the meal would get refunded.
It’s clear that the communication sucks. They set expectations that they cannot fulfill. There is a lack of communication between management, staff and customers and it’s affecting everyone. I think they should try being more transparent and communicating between themselves and the customer by keeping the customers updated about what’s happening with the food and giving clear timelines. That goes for people dining in/issues with to-go orders. That way a customer can have a choice on whether they want to...
