I had the worst experience at Kimbrell's in Greenville NC. In May, I paid for a bedroom set in full with Earl as my salesman. I informed him that I would be moving at the end of July and asked him if they could hold the furniture until I move. Earl said "yes that would not be a problem. We can hold it as long as you need us to". He said he would go to the back, put "sold" and my name on the furniture, and it would be at the store when I got ready for it to be delivered. On July 20th, the delivery men were honest and informed me that the furniture that they brought came from the sales floor and all of the furniture were damaged. In addition, they brought a loaner bed frame. Earl did not contact me to let me know that they were sending a loaner bed or to let me know that my furniture was sold; therefore, I was utterly confused. I contacted Earl about the delivery and he presented poor customer service as if he did not care. He said "it is out of my control" and l "I don't know what others sale". Furthermore, he mentioned that the furniture was sold three times which makes this situation even worse. When I told him about my frustration, the only thing he said was "ok" in a careless manner which made me livid. I asked how will I be compensated for the inconvenience because this was unacceptable. He said I could find something else. However, that was the only bed set that I liked, and was looking forward to having it. I am very disappointed in the poor customer and lack of accountability at this establishment. Earl must endure severe consequences for his actions and I do not want him to be commissioned for this sale.

Read moreOn 3/30/23 we purchased bedroom furniture at Kimbrells, included in the purchase was a king sized mattress. In mid June we called kimbrells regarding springs in the mattress side protruding out, there is a 1 year guarantee on the mattress. Kimbrells sent out 2 of their delivery men to photo the mattress. We waited more than 2 weeks for a response to this issue, we called and spoke to store manager Marisol, she told me the mattress company would not honor the guarantee, as the pictures taken by the delivery men only showed the top of the mattress and did not show enough damage. We went to the store a few days later to show our pictures of the side of the mattress. She presented these to Kimbrells corporate office and Jamison Bedding (mfg). Went back again to be told after speaking to regional manager, Tyler Cambell, we would have the option of PURCHASING another mattress from them at cost. This is not acceptable. Marisol said she has sent our claim and pictures to Jamison. It is now August 3rd and we still have not heard from Kimbrells or Jamison. Poor way to run business, shame on both of these companies. Do not make any purchases from them.
Received a call from your store manager, she was advised to offer us a replacement mattress. We had recently purchased a new (much better quality) mattress from another store. As we could not get decent rest on Kimbrells mattress. Manager said she would ask if a store credit could replace the mattress. It's almost a week later and still no response. Poor, poor...
Read moreI bought a living room set from the Greenville NC location recently. We were told the set was available to pick up next week before we bought. After we paid in full for the set and came to pick up the next weekend, the store said that only the love seat arrived. They said that the coach was in Wilmington and that they would just need to send a truck there to get it, which would take another week. Well this went on for a few weeks. I was told that the "truck didn't make it to Wilmington this week". After 4 weeks of calling, the excuse switched to "the couch we were going to pick up is damaged and we will have you another on here in two weeks". It has been 3 weeks from then and each time I call, the only update I receive is that my item is not there yet. The store does not call and update me at all. I have to call each week and try to locate my couch. When I call, the receptionist says she needs to go ask the manager real quick and then comes back and says he went out on a call. She asks me to leave my number and that he will call me back the next day. He does not call back the next day so I call again and them am told the manager must have been too busy to return my call. This is the customer service at its worst. Stand behind your sales pitch or at least be honest enough to call your customers back and give them accurate delivery dates.
