Two stars. I am sad that I have to give this, but I do (Phillipsburg NJ location). The sales person was great. We ordered a rocker/glider/swivel recliner and a sofa May 2021. We were informed that it would take 8-14 weeks for delivery. IT TOOK 8 (EIGHT) MONTHS to finally take possession of two puces of furniture that were ordered. Initially I would receive a text message saying that they were checking in, haven’t forgotten about us, but no useable information that would indicate actual delivery. After a couple of months those texts dried up and no information was forwarded. I had to make countless calls asking when would items be delivered? Each time I was given a date that was further and further out. I would call once or twice a month for information. In November (6 months after the initial order) I was informed that the sofa would be delivered at the end of the month and that the chair was not scheduled for delivery until April 2022! At NO TIME WAS ANY DISCOUNT OFFERED AND CERTAINLY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TIMELY INFORMATION WAS INVISIBLE. The sofa was NOT delivered in November and ni follow up calls were made to inform me of the status. If I had not had to make yet another phone call to them I never would have known. I called in December. Delivery for the sofa was now slated for February, I called again December to cancel the items and was told that the recliner rocker/glider/swivel chair was IN THE WAREHOUSE!!! And yet NO ONE CONTACTED ME to tell me. Chair was delivered at the end of December. I got a confirmation text regarding delivery and nothing more. I had to call to find out what time the item would be delivered. The chair was delivered and appears to be in acceptable condition. I placed yet another call to follow up on the sofa at the end of December and was Informed it would be delivered in January. Again, received only a confirmation text, but no follow up to inform me of what time the delivery would occur. I had to call Ashley to get this information. The sofa arrived yesterday and the delivery guys did NOT WEAR MASKS so My partner and I grabbed our and wore masks while the delivery was made. (omicron and Covid are running rampant and these guys are not wearing masks. Not acceptable). The sofa arrived in acceptable condition and I do very much like it, however, an 8 month delivery is wholly and completely unacceptable. The lack of follow up calls and transparency regarding the truth of how long it will take before you actually receive your purchase is unacceptable. Unfortunately we will not be purchasing anymore furniture from Ashley Home Store due to being lied to about initial delivery and lack of any followup or customer service. Expect exceeding long delivery windows and complete silence from Phillipsburg Ashley Home Stores. The whole process from scheduling our delivery to delivery(and haul away) was a disaster and less than desirable customer service at all levels. After over 2 weeks from purchase date, I followed up with the store as to status of our items and when we can expect then to arrive at the store for delivery, only to be told “oh the items have been here”… great, missed my window of delivery that week as a result and had to wait over an additional week to finally receive mattress, base, mattress protector, pillow. The mattress was damaged upon delivery, but decided to keep the mattress protector and pillow. We sent mattress and base back (no place to store base in interim without haul away of old mattress, yet that baffled customer service). Wish we never kept the pillow from the 1st delivery because there is a 72-hour return window they refuse to budge on, even though we didn’t test it until the new mattress finally arrived AND we tried to return within 72-hours of the new mattress delivery. The second mattress delivery arrived after the 4-hour delivery window and they refused to haul away the old mattress (even though we paid for that service) until we basically had to demand they take it. Customer service says they’ll get back to us, they never do. Says they’ll look into things, never do. Avoid at all costs. Should have purchased the mattress directly from the company. Read moreSalesperson Christianna outright lied to my face on not one, but two times. First she stated a sectional we wanted was "in stock". When I pressed her for a delivery date, she had to put me on hold, then came back and said she would have to place the order first and then would get a shipping date. I again asked if it would deliver this week as the display sign stated IN WRITING, and she again said it might not be immediate but I had to place the order first. Then I asked her to match a price I saw from the "largest Ashley seller in the tristate area", and she proceeded to LIE AGAIN TO ME, stating that the material as "different". I explained to her it was exactly the same as it was an authentic Ashley Signature Seller. I even showed her proof. She then said "their" material was "inferior to her material" but could not tell me why. Then she even got the material wrong when she said "microfiber" instead of faux leather. No one wants microfiber since it is a cheap product. So I told her that and told her I don't appreciate being outright lied to on two occasions in the span of 10 minutes. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE.
