Well I read somebody else's review that said the place was clean so I went there. The bed was just as hard as most hotels of the same class. Yes it was pretty clean but the bedspread wasn't that clean it wasn't that dirty either but it would have been nice if it were freshly laundered. Other hotels do laundry their bedspreads and they do have lightweight bedspreads to make it easier. Everything worked. There is no cold Continental or hot breakfast. They were friendly on the phone and then when I got there it was after a long hard day of traveling and I was very tired. I'm very sensitive to smells and the lobby wreaked of cigarette smoke stench. I mentioned it but didn't complain. The clerk was quick to admit that the smoke was because she smokes even though there was a no smoking sign on the general manager's door entrance from the lobby. The staff was nice and I had a problem with the television and the clerk did come down to my room and show me how to use the remote. Then the batteries died and she came down once again to put the batteries in. That was nice of her. It was nice that there was a refrigerator and the microwave and the bathroom was clean. The floor wasn't perfectly clean but I'm not eating off the floor anyway. At least the bathroom floor looked very clean. They had the usual things like a mini shampoo mini soap etc. There were large sliding glass doors facing the parking lot and the parking lot was quite dirty with cigarette butts and other trash. Didn't look very good but I was tired and everything else was clean so I accepted it. I wasn't going to be picky. There were no bugs of any kind. It was a little dated but it was the cheapest place in the area. My only real problem was that the beds are very hard. And in order to get a decent bed you have to bump the price up to at least $100 or more. So you could say that I got what I paid for. And I didn't get what I didn't pay for haha. I had a feeling maybe she was the general manager but I don't know who put the sign up that said no smoking. She was a nice person so I'm not going to fault her for anything except the cigarette smell in the lobby. The lobby was also dingy a little dirty and unattractive. But I was tired and all I really needed was a bed and I wasn't going to hang out in the lobby so I ignored it. Would I stay there again? If I was broke and only had enough money for that hotel yes but if I had more money to afford something a little better I probably would do that in hopes of getting...

Marty Yannarella 1/5 just now on Google Since management has so quickly and rudely removed my review, I will gladly post and repost my review until everyone knows the truth about my experience at this location. First, prior to my arrival I phoned this motel directly. I was told there were plenty of rooms available and I did not need to book online to get the advertised rates. I was shocked when I arrived to be charged 30% more. I showed the clerk the online rates but was told they didn't apply on Friday. Because I had my infusion treatment just prior to driving the 700 miles, I was too tired and ill to argue or find another place. In addition to being overcharged I noted the following issues. The furniture in the room was extremely well worn and broken. Large areas of the finish were completely worn away. The clothes bar and shelf were unusable as it was torn loose and barely attached to the wall. Large areas of wallpaper were loose from the wall outside of the bathroom. There were dried blood smears on the bathroom floor and near the toilet. It looked like it was from a bleeding foot. Black mold was growing on the suspended ceiling frame around the shower. All night long you could hear the never ending drone of refrigerator units running on the tractor trailers in the parking lot. At checkout I was refused a receipt because the printer was broken. I have pictures that substantiate every statement I have made. This place is a mess! I will repost every time you...
Read moreA decent 2 star motel in a good location. It has some mid-century charm in a very sturdy building design. The place is evidently dated and in need of a number of repairs, yet I can see a lot of renovation and investment happening here leading me to be optimistic about the future of this place. My room was clean and mostly updated with new floors, comfortable bed, modern TV, updated bathroom, fridge and microwave, new mattress and sheets, and some fresh paint. A/C worked well on hot days, and secure wifi was fast. A lot of the trim work was left unfinished which took away from an otherwise decent room. The phone did not work and two lights didn't work. The price was a bit on the high side for a 2-star, and significantly more than other motels in nearby towns. Actual prices are 40% higher than what is posted on Google, and they do NOT serve any breakfast! I like it has large vehicle parking for rv and semi trucks which is a huge plus for me. They allow late checkout for up to an hour late, then you have to pay for a whole day to stay. In my case I needed to stay 4 extra hours for business reasons. Other places I've stayed will let you pay hourly for late checkout if you've already stayed a full night, and perhaps management reading this will consider this as an option for travelers who stay the night and only need a few hours more. Overall I give it 3 stars because of unfinished trim work and little details in the room undone, and renovations still in progress leaving much charm buried under...
