Initial visit to establishment since it's Grand Opening on Rt.22 Phillipsburg, NJ. I must say I loved the decor, the rustic pipe/stone look is perfect! During my visit, I sat at the bar with my partner to have a couple of drinks after a long day of work and a small bite. Great selection of beer 🍺, wine 🍷, mixed drinks 🍸 😋 etc are served both indoor and outdoor. So we decided to sit at the bar inside; there are plugs available at the bar area, but no hooks to hang your bags or jackets in front of you 👎🏼. Lots of tv's 📺 around the bar 😀 ! Great for games or fight nights 😃. Plenty of tables for families; you can also order ahead for pick up. Outdoor seating. Plenty of Parking. Handicap accessible. Jukebox on Site (Download TouchTunes and pick your favorite song) 🎵!
So for starters we had the nachos 🧀, they were fully loaded and delicious 😋 except the cheese was a bit on the thick side. I prefer more of a nacho cheese sauce; again personal preference. We also had the Berry Salad. Dressing and Salad delicious, but I will get without the corn 🌽 🥕 and 🌶. We also tried the Chorizo Burger(Sandwich) it was my favorite bite I took that night by far. I added mayonnaise to my chorizo burger 🍔 😋 YUM! With a side of steak fries 🍟, a bit crisper next visit and it'll be just perfect.
Our server this day was very friendly and attentive (excuse me for not remembering name). A couple of Cons. Business should be handled in an office or anywhere off of the business floor. Interact more with your tables and servers. No hooks at bar seating. Servers need more training on the menu(nit a big deal, but definitely some training needed). And last but not Least, Flies. There were One, Two, Many flies around the bar area. Not great when...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in on Sunday for dinner. There was a 15 min wait for indoor or outdoor seating. We told the hostess outside. When we were called she proceeded to seat us inside. No big deal. Then the sever took at least 5 minutes to even come up to us. When she did we told her we were ready to order. She said another server took her pen and she’ll be right back with our drinks. Another 5-10 min wait until we even got a water and Pepsi. We waited a decent amount of time for our wing appetizer (which were pretty good.) in the meantime 2 other tables were sat next to us and no server even went up to them in the 25 min period we were waiting for our entrees. Those tables ended up walking out. We finally got our food and I asked for a Pepsi and crushed pepper for the pizza I ordered (which I asked her for once before when I asked for my drink.) she brings back 2 plates and my husband had to tell her a couple more times crushed pepper for the pizza. After finally taking a couple bites I quickly realized the quality is no better than a frozen Elios pizza. It was mushy and tasted old. Not worth $13 AT ALL. If you’re going to advertise pizza on your signs and have it as a main item on your menu it should be better than frozen quality. My husband ordered the surf and turf which wasn’t terrible. We’ve had worse. The bill was $85 excluding tip. Not worth it at all. But the service was below average. We were there for a total of almost 2 hours. They need to hire better help. Won’t...
Read moreThe menu online does not match the in person menu. This paired with miscommunication between staff made a mediocre meal. To start, I ordered a mojito (the "crazy cuban" on the menu) with clear rum. It came out with coconut rum and too much agave. I sent it back. When it came out again, it was still made with coconut rum. I have worked years both front of house and back of house and know how it feels to have an order come back so I decided to not make a fuss and just accept it. My friend ordered one of their boozy buckets and instead got a regular mixed drink. Next were the apps. We got the yucca bites (not listed on the online menu). Nowhere in the description does it say they contain dairy, but they were basically smashed yucca balls stuffed with cheese. I would not have gotten these if I had known they contained dairy as I was sharing them with my lactose intolerant friend. For my main course, I got a black bean burger. It was dry and overcooked (a common problem with veg burgers served in restaurants). However, my main confusion was the avocado on the burger. I was not expecting it as it was not listed on the (in person) menu. However, after checking online and seeing it listed on the online menu, I now understand why it was on my burger. Even though our experience wasn't great, I am still curious about other menu items, and would come back...
