Terrible experience with CLAIRE the Closing Team Leader.
Went into the store to buy PokĆ©mon cards for my nephews birthday tomorrow, and was denied from buying more than 4 of them due to Claire saying there was a ālimitā on all Trading Cards. As shown in the photos attached, there is no sign specifying that there is a limit. Nor has there ever been a limit when I have previously gone into search store.
If there was a limit, you still as a business must honor the purchase due to their not being a sign specifying a limit. However, I have been to that location before and bought my nephew over 10 boxes of cards at once with no issue. Also, the Target has more than enough stock for there to be no issue in regards to purchasing the cards. Again, shown in the picture. Claire should have honored the purchase and put up a sign after the fact to specify that there was a limit at this location. Instead, Claire made me and my family look like an embarrassment in front of her employees and other customers in the store, which was not only unprofessional, but felt belittling. This was easily the worst experience I have ever had in a target location and Claire was by far the worst associate I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. Her tone was condescending and cocky, and and she acted as if she owned the target itās self rather than just being an employee of the company.
I have contacted corporate, and will be sure to follow up with them when they get back to me regarding how they will handle this ordeal.
As someone who spends thousands of dollars in targets weekly, I would never suggest anyone doing business with this location if that specific employee is...

I like the target store and I spend a pretty substantial amount of money monthly. My last several visits have been fraught with difficulty when checking out: when trying to use gift cards given to me by the store for purchasing multiples or promotions. It has taken me either 5 minutes just to pay and leave or longer if I have to go to customer service, which I had to do today. Very disappointed with sales associate and customer service today. Both were unaware and didn't really seem to care. The actual sales associate took my gift card, that did not come off and put it aside. When I realized it didn't come off the receipt and went back to her, she had it hidden away, not in the register like a spent, used gift card. Very disturbed by the actions of some of the target employees. This does not apply to all of the employees, as some are very helpful and have tried to fix the gift card problem. Right when One enters the front door, you're greeted by a Store Associate offering to assist. In addition, they provide Surgical Mask, Pre-Sanitized Shopping Carts, Hand Sanitizer and Paper Towel. These items are there for your health, safety and convenience.
I also like that the Bathrooms are conveniently located by the entrance doors. Smart Store Design!! This is especially important for the Elderly, Disabled Individuals, Wheelchair Bound, along w/Moms & Dads who have Kids.
The Phillipsburg Store offers plenty of parking, is well lit and has security cameras in the lot for safety. One will find the store absolutely clean, neat, well maintained and always has plenty of inventory. Kudos to Great Store Management!!!
