This place is a disaster. The second we walked in I wanted to leave but my daughter and my niece really wanted to come here. I have read that this place is really clean. Look at my pics and see for yourself. It cost $8 to get in and they obviously didnât do a head count because I had nowhere to sit and watch the kids. They just let everyone in I guess. We went upstairs which was worse than downstairs. I get that kids are messy but what is the point in having a mini-Kroger grocery store with aisles and shelves when everything is on the floor. And the coloring/activity room was, well, see the pics. Like I said, I get that kids are messy but this place doesnât even make an attempt to make it attractive for anyone to play. No kids were coloring because the parents wouldnât let them in there because of the mess. Trash, empty water bottles, crayons grounded into the floor. The kids had some fun I guess but I was ashamed because I told them this place was really cool and when they saw the mess they werenât really happy. I highly recommend they hire some help to clean up as the day goes on. Also, they wanted to play basketball but couldnât. I guess itâs not part of the âkid cityâ but they make sure the windows are big enough so the kids see others playing. All they could do was watch and wish they could play. This place is disgustingly dirty, way too small for how many they let in, very limited on what you can do, no A/C, not at all organized, and just downright upsetting. I wonât...
Read moreThe Greenwood Community Center is a result of tax dollars put to good use for a community as a whole. The Center offers a "Kid City" experience on the first floor and the second floor allowing kids to burn off energy on the first level and on the second level exercise their mind and imagination. The second level offers a "grocery store" sponsored by Kroger's. There is a building blocks area and large wall light bright.
For adults, there is the "Gym" with a variety of workout equipment and free weights. There are televisions, but you cannot connect to the sound through the equipment like other gyms. You have to go old school with a radio. This is the only reason why I give the facility four stars. Maybe, if the Parks Department brought in a tech savvy person to provide input, that would help.
There are rooms you can rent here for meetings and parties. The facility offers a variety of fitness classes too! Unfortunately, the rooms are very hot and the room may/may not have a small fan so that is another reason why I gave the facility a four star.
Finally, the facility offers basketball courts that can also be utilized for organized sports such as basketball, volleyball and pickleball.
The facility offers: A strong Wi-Fi signal. Clean facilities and restrooms with changing facilities Great staff
Only negatives are televisions, but no way to tap into or transmit the sound. Fitness classes are in rooms with little to no air circulation making the classes very...
Read moreWe, my 2 grandkids and myself, went here for a birthday party. This place is so nice. There are all sorts of things for kids to do. I'm not sure about the adults since all the adults I encountered were with kids. There was a exercise room full of all kinds of equipment but I didn't go inside. For the kids there's a giant light bright, climbing apparatus that's two stories tall for the kids to climb up in, a play Kroger store with plastic produce and other items for the kids to shop with in the little shopping carts and take to a play checkout with a little cash register, a arts and craft area that's stocked with lots of things for the kids to use their imagination making things, there was other stuff there as well but my grandkids only visited this area. You can rent their conference rooms for birthday or other activities I would think and the prices in the brochure seemed quite reasonable. All the ppl working there were so friendly and helpful. I was greeted as soon as I entered the building and asked if I needed anything twice by other staff in the 2 hours we were there. Oh and I should also mention that there's a giant gymnasium for playing basketball. I'm going to be talking to my daughter about getting a year pass for all of us so there's a safe place to take the kids to play when the weather does not permit. There was also an area outside for kids too but we didn't go there due to it being cold and we were there for a party. We will definitely...
