For almost 25 years, I have long enjoyed the idea of going to Mrs. Curl - for many of the same reasons listed in the positives of these listed reviews. It's a great feeling to try and support local and small businesses. Unfortunately for me, my perspective changed after a very negative experience with the management and ownership. After my youngest sister received her first paycheck from her new job, she wanted to treat me to an ice cream cone at Mrs. Curl. I understand that people have bad days and don't always act the way they should towards a customer. However, after a misunderstanding on their end resulted in me being yelled at by one of the managers and one of the owners himself yelling at me, my perspective has changed. I stayed calm in the situation, never raising my voice back and tried to communicate calmly where their misunderstanding was. This resulted in the owner eventually calming down but never apologizing for his actions towards me, both as a person and as a customer.
I don't feel it is appropriate to treat others this way and with plenty of options available for dessert, I would not recommend or encourage someone to go to Mrs. Curl. I want to support businesses that treat people well - employee and customer alike. After a quarter of a century supporting Mrs. Curl with my money, after meeting the management and seeing how they treat others, I will not support them any more and would encourage others to consider other dessert...

I go there all the time when is open this year I’ve been very disappointed in the food, but I kept trying to give it a chance to kept trying to give it a chance that’s the last time I went. I got a tenderloin, chili cheese, dog nachos, fried mushrooms, and a peanut butter ice cream sundae. They give me my Sunday before all my food is done I asked them to make it over because it was melted by time my food got done. The girl got an attitude then she didn’t even make it the way I asked I said no Cool Whip no cherry extra peanut butter. She did none of these the second time, then she made me throw the other one in the trash when I get. I asked her to give it to my dog I get home. My hot dog is boiled for so long that the skin was peeled back on the hotdog. My chips to my nachos was stale. Just seems like it’s going downhill and that’s really sad. Read moreDelicious ice cream. Average service. It is possible they were more busy than usual (but it was a weekend night, you'd think they would know to staff up. The person in front of me ordered 2 cones. In the middle of his order, the cashier picked up the phone and took a mobile order and no one was working on the gentleman's order. So he has a melting cone in one hand while the other cone isn't even being prepared. As you can imagine he was quite upset knowing that his first cone was melting all over before he could get it to the recipient. Then when it came our time to order, similar thing happened where we had to wait almost 8 minutes between our first and our 3rd item, rendering the first item quite melted. I'd like to give this place another chance but it was such a simple thing to get right that they seem to not have under control.
