All of the Nectar locations charge more for their product than a lot of other dispensaries, so I asked if they price match and was told by the 122nd Ave location that they do. So, I went and picked up what they had of a concentrate. It took a few minutes and verifying the other dispensary did have the brand at a lower price, but I left with what I came for at the price they said they would match. All good...simple and reasonable. Since I got all of the ones at the 122nd Ave they had, and went to this location (Gresham) to get my remaining allotment that I called and asked if they had and they did. I clarified again that they would price match and was told they would. I had my receipt from the 122nd Ave showing that they price matched for me. The tender took my receipt to the "manager" and explained the simple task that I just needed the same thing I got 30 minutes earlier at the 122nd Ave location. I was at the other end of the building and could hear the "manager" loudly frustrated, complaining and acting like I came in there to maliciously screw them out of $10. So they pouted for a few and then called someone that told them they needed to do the same thing as the other location did. They then claimed that because the dispensary that has the brand at a lower price was out of that one strain (same brand and price point), he could not price match. They literally tried every possible way to decline the price match. Additionally, I am a medical patient and the particular item I was after from both locations has been the most beneficial product I've used in this great state. And the "manager" did all of this drama and nonsense to not help a medical patient save $10. They mentioned they "hadn't done that in a while" which I safely presume is the real reason they didn't want to honor such a simple and reasonable request. It's a clean store with a good vibe, and they even have restrooms available! They have promos with vendors, deals, a rewards points program, and an organized inventory and menu.
On the flip side, I've been shorted on my change back during a purchase about a dozen times throughout the last year or so of going to this store. I was even shorted $12 once and the bud tender was clueless as how to rectify the situation until I suggested to him to check the till and do the simple math. With that being said, I now have to double check my change every time I make a purchase since this has happened with multiple employees over the span. Maybe since that building used to be the 505 strip club, there are stripper and pimp ghosts in their manifesting through the employees' bodies LMAO
Aside from that, I'm also a little put off by Nectar's mediocre quality of flower for the most part (you get what you pay for). They have expanded so much and are merely just a name brand now. Their stuff is so over produced by growers that are not always using healthy, organic, sustainable, and pesticide-free growing methods. I have to be careful what I buy there because alot of their flower isn't washed of the pesticides and it gives me inflammation and sinus issues. Their inventory stock is so overloaded that alot of their product has been sitting in storage for a long time (check the dates on the labels of the containers they sell you), and one time I straight up got moldy weed.
Overall, this store only wins by default because Gresham won't allow any more weed stores and the other one is expensive with less selection, so there's an obvious lack of...
