So I know there are coffee shops around that have and serve WHITE coffee drinks. But compared to where I am from, In Oregon...coffee shops who carry White coffee seem SO SOOOOOooo unfortunately few and far between.
While running around and about taking care of errands with my husband, we decided to stop at a Dutch Bros instead of trying to Google another shop with white coffee.
I'm not sure if our whole experience AND drinks were not at all even close to par, because of how incredibly busy this location is, if it was the young kid who initially took our order, or if it was the ladies who made our drinks ..Or a combination of all 3.
My husband always orders a 24oz hot Mocha , 6 shots reg coffee and whole milk.
I damn near always get the same thing every time I order from here as well, and I ordered a 24oz hot(I normally do iced) white angel with 6 shots white coffee, Oat milk and topped with cinnamon.
Apparently the kid who walked up to the car window, and took my order.. I guess he didn't know if mine was a latte or mocha..so when we reached the window where the ladies make the drinks..They asked about mine and I just simply repeated my drink again.
By the time I received my drink, it was literally just 6 shots of white coffee and steamed oat milk. No sauce or syrups or flavoring..wasn't even topped with cinnamon! I don't get coffees from a shop often any more. They are a treat when I do go. So I was quite bummed at what I got unfortunately.
A little advice for employees..and all workers in front of the house food service workers...If you don't know what I wanted or what exactly your customer is ordering...simply check with them and be straight up about it!
I and MANY MANY others would rather explain something to an employee and get their order correct, instead of the customer driving away with a drink that ended up in the garbage and it was damn near $10!! (We already spent enough time waiting in line, so by the time we got our drinks..we took off without trying our drinks first. And we were NOT about to get back into that line either..)
For those who don't know .. White Angel is of course made with White Coffee and it is in fact a type of Mocha drink using White Chocolate and Coconut Syrup. (It tastes best with White Chocolate Powder if you find a coffee shop who carries the powder!!) Also a White Angel (IMO ) pairs best with any type of creamy milk (breve, oat milk, whole milk..) And it is an absolute must to top off with Cinnamon powder!! Yaaaasssss plz!
I am between jobs rn or I would totally be heading to Dutch Bros rn this morning for another go at my White Angel, but I will when I have the funds . Upon my next return, I will revisit this post and adjust my stats...
Read moreMy daughter has swim practice in the mornings & i am ALWAYS coming to DB for the electric berry $7 large drink. Today we were awkward waiting in line & i dont know DB line etiquette. The female employee came & told me I need to not block the parking spots that they Park in and that that's the wrong way to be in line which I have no problem understanding I just told her "i'm sorry and I didn't realize" ---that id be sitting here still waiting for 7 minutes for the car that was already at the window when i arrived. It was just a quick decision.. She said I'd have to get out of that spot and get back in line which meant that I would have to get behind five cars?! Really not ok... This was at 8:30 this morning & i was tired and my daughter had to be at practice at 8:45 in which I didn't have any time to wait in line that long and I felt it was kind of misunderstood that I was just trying to come in from the Red Lobster side and I hugged into the curb instead of making a line that I didnt figure wasnt appropriate. It would have been really nice if she understood that I was waiting there already for 7 minutes and I thought she was coming to take my order- not tell me to start all over and get upset with me because I was blocking where they Park unintentionally. I'm not sure why this couldn't have been resolved in better maybe different way (guess its ok) & if she wouldve taken my order istead & asked me to wait in line so she could bring it out to us that wouldve been honorable. Maybe the red lipstick would still have my bussiness but she was not trying to be nice just surprised that i said "uh wow really ypu want me to get back in line behind all of those cars"?! Her melenial entitlement victim stance because i was not ok with her making a poor decision not to treat me like a patiently waiting customer was seriously something to be desired... I didnt tell understand how she could just be ok with telling me to wait behind 5 people when they were taking almost 10 minutes on one order & who knows when the line moved when i left. I just left. me and my daughter are not going to be spending our $7 every other morning at Dutch Brothers anymore before practice.. I'm sure they won't miss the business. Sorry i wasn't on top of it this morning. But i wasnt treated like a valued customer rather like i was rude when i wasnt...
Read moreThis is my go to Dutch Bros, whether or not it's a good, bad, or just a plain ole' day, the crew at this Dutch is hands down the best crew by far. No it's not the fastest in town, that's only because it's always so super busy that you can tell I'm not the only one who thinks they are absolutely the best crew since there is always a line!! The only time I have ever seen any of them not smiling is after some super impatient customer has ripped them to shreds with about a line that they have no control over. At lunch time for the high school there's no way to get through fast since every teenager from Gresham High comes with a 5-6 drink order per kid! But this crew does their absolute best all the time, and they deserve to have a great review and a bunch of thank yous!!! This whole team from the opening crew down to the closing crew are 💯 the best and they deserve respect. Besides who else can make at least a 1000 drinks a day and still have a smile on their face? Only these kids can!!! Much respect for this crew, you all know...
