My mother has been shopping at Caroline’s since they were based out of Marlton and passed on her love of luxury consignment to me as well. We have bought several bags from Caroline’s and have always had good experiences. However, as I have acquired many bags I chose to consign bags I no longer used and went to a consignment shop. The shop utilizes entrupy for bag authentication and out of several bags I gave them a bag I bought from Caroline’s came back as a high end counterfeit. I bought the bag in 2021 and I was given a paper receipt with the amount which is customary with them. I also have a credit card statement from their shop for the bag I purchased. I never received verification on its authenticity but as I have has bought bags previously I didn’t think twice. Fast forward to present time 2023, and I reach out to Caroline’s to let them know. I even sent them screenshots of me purchasing the bag from their old Instagram account before it got hacked that matches my credit card statement/timeline. I was told 4 people run their Instagram and they wanted me to come in person with an original receipt. Who keeps receipts from two years ago especially when they’re not itemized and only have the price on them. I told them I don’t have the receipt but I also wanted to know what they would even do if I brought the bag back. They requested I come in person and to call to schedule with Caroline. They also told me they don’t sell fakes but that in 2021 they didn’t have their verification machine either so they were just as shocked as I am.
I told them I’m available one day before I leave the country for trips planned in advance and to let me know if Caroline was available and no one got back to me.
At the end of the day I understand that the bag was prior to their machine and things happen. I honestly would understand if they just acknowledged fault and issued an apology but to not get back to me even when I requested that they do leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’m going to have to verify the handful of bags I bought from them over the years (some were definitely authentic as I have consigned them previously with no issue) but the ones I kept I will need to verify.

I can’t get my money back because my items were never insured for the purchase amount from Caroline’s Fashions . IF YOU ORDER ONLINE, PLEASE GET A COPY RECEIPT FROM FEDEX OF INSURANCE FOR THE PURCHASE AMOUNT. She did not do this!!!!!! She only insured for $100.00 (I have copy from sale person)On top of the issues Caroline is not being cooperative. She has a very nasty disposition.I’m still disputing my case as today. She refuses to correct her mistake. This is the small scale of the situation. You immediately said, someone or the neighbor stole the items. That was not the case. If you would of taken time to replied back and stopped talking over me , you would of heard what I had to say. But I’m going to save the situation for court. Read moreI received my LV handbag, but i really don’t believe it’s a real authentic handbag. The front and the back of the handbag are exactly the same, but the sides of the handbag are completely different. The LV on one side is upside down and at the top of the handbag the LV is cut off.
There’s no serial number or code. Another thing, I drove from Delaware to New Jersey and Ava, would not allow me to use the restroom. BUYER BEWARE. If you buy anything from Caroline you are responsible for any tears, rip, for example. My LV handbag which I just bought…the zipper is tearing away from the vinyl. Really, Now after spending over $700.00 I have to pay to have it fixed or replace it. The cost for the repair was $150.00. Way too much…I should be reimbursed...
