A Culinary Symphony: A Dining Experience to Remember
From the moment we stepped into this gem of a restaurant, it was clear we were in for a treat. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for a meal that would become a journey of flavors.
This Trattoria exudes charm and warmth, offering a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for any occasion. The open kitchen concept steals the show, with tables lining the kitchen, giving diners a front-row seat to the culinary artistry as chefs craft each dish with precision. The inviting scent of fresh ingredients fills the air, adding to the experience. Downstairs, the beautifully designed basement seating area feels like a hidden gem—romantic, rustic, and full of character. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while delivering a dining experience you won’t forget. Bonus: it’s BYOB, so you can pair your favorite bottle with an unforgettable meal!
To start, the Lemon Garlic Shrimp was a burst of brightness, beautifully paired with tender ceci beans and the slight bitterness of sautéed rapini. The garlic shallots and Chardonnay-parsley butter elevated the dish, and the focaccia was the perfect sponge for every last drop of sauce.
For a seasonal delight, the Harvest Burrata stole our hearts. The creamy burrata paired exquisitely with the sweet and savory fig mostarda, while the brown butter butternut squash purée and orange blossom honey added layers of richness and depth. The toasted pepitas provided the perfect crunch, making each bite a celebration of autumn.
The standout of the evening was the Black Truffle Rotolo, an indulgent masterpiece. The semolina dough had the perfect texture, and the trifecta of truffle butter, mascarpone, and truffle essence created a decadent yet balanced dish that lingered on the palate.
The Mushroom Pizza was nothing short of perfection. The roasted mushroom medley delivered a deep, earthy flavor, and the creamy goat cheese paired beautifully with the charred red onions. Adding the house-made sausage was a stroke of genius, and the basil-infused hot honey brought a touch of heat and sweetness that tied everything together flawlessly.
The Lemon Horseradish Cavatelli was a bold, creative dish that showcased the restaurant’s knack for balancing flavors. The pillowy pasta was bathed in a luscious beef short rib sugo, with roasted pearl onions adding sweetness and parmigiano rounding out the dish with a savory finish.
We couldn’t leave without dessert, and the Apple Butterscotch Crumble Gelato was the perfect finale. The creamy gelato had just the right amount of butterscotch richness, complemented by the warmth of apple crumble. It was indulgent yet refreshing—a comforting close to an unforgettable meal.
Every dish was not only a feast for the taste buds but also a testament to the chef’s artistry. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a dining experience that is both innovative and comforting. We’ll be dreaming about this meal for...
Read moreThis has to be one of the best restaurants not only in Haddonfield, but all of South Jersey. Every single dish was incredible. We sat outside, the owner greeted us, and gave detailed recommendations. He really took the time to talk to us and make sure we enjoyed the food. He did this not only for us, but it seemed like for all of the patrons. The care he showed to everyone dining was impressive and although I’m sure it was time consuming, he made sure everyone was happy. Our waiter, Jeffrey, was top tier. He also provided thorough recommendations. He was so friendly and personable. It made us feel like we were appreciated for being there which is a rarity. He was attentive with us and every single table from what we saw. Overall, the service alone was unbelievably wonderful. The food was to die for. We had the bone marrow and caprese to start plus focaccia served for free. These appetizers were perfect. The bone marrow was buttery and perfectly seasoned so it didn’t take away from the natural flavor. It was my friend’s first time having bone marrow and she was blown away! The caprese was light and fresh. The pesto had the most flavor of any pesto I’ve ever had and we used the focaccia to mop it up. For mains we ordered the wildfether alla vodka and cacio e pepe. The home made pastas were amazing in both dishes. The dishes were traditional with unique twists. Both of them were perfect and huge portions. We had plenty left over. The cacio e pepe was the best I’ve ever had. Beating out my former number 1 spot in the city, which has been my favorite for years. Please dine here if you want amazing food, one of a kind service, and more than generous portions. Additionally, cost wise, it was not bad at all. I would actually say they could charge more for the quality of their dishes alone. 10000000000000/10. Make your...
Read moreI went here for Valentine’s Day date with my significant other. I did my reservations through OpenTable. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by staff. Warm smiles, and they seemed excited about us being there. The hostess arrived, and before taking us to our seats, offered a verbal tour of the menu, telling us his favorites and must haves.
The place is small and intimate. They have bar seating around the kitchen, where you can see all the action. I saw a young man twirling doe in the air, which made the experience.
We were seated almost near a large window where you can see the hustle and bustle of Haddonfield. Directly across the street is the iconic Wild Fether distillery. One complaint I have, is that the chairs to sit down and these pressed metal chairs. They are very very uncomfortable. Made me want to eat and get out of that place immediately.
We ordered:
Black Truffle Rotolo Pizzaiola Brussels Sprouts Margherita Pizza
It was my first time eating Rotolo, if I can describe the look and texture of a cinnamon bun, but the taste of a black truffle pizza of sorts. It was confusing for me. However my lady loved it.
The Brussels sprouts were to brag about. Very uniquely made, with a pop of interesting flavors. One of the best I have had.
The pizza, where I enjoyed a few slices at the restaurant, and the rest of the pie for my breakfast, was great. It had a nice tin crunch, and met my pizza needs.
Overall, we had a great evening. And...
