Burlington — Local services in Hagerstown

During my most recent visit to Burlington, I noticed several areas that could benefit from improved organization and upkeep.

To begin with, many of the store’s departments were quite disorganized. For example, a significant amount of clothing was placed in the incorrect size sections, making it difficult to browse efficiently. Shelves in various areas appeared scattered and messy, and some aisles had merchandise on the floor, creating both clutter and potential hazards.

While I understand that customers often contribute to the disarray by not returning items to their proper places—or simply leaving them on the floor—it's still the responsibility of the staff to ensure a certain level of cleanliness and organization throughout the day. During my visit, I didn’t observe any employees actively working to maintain or restore order in the affected areas.

One highlight, however, is the perfume and cologne section. Although it, too, could benefit from better organization, the selection available is typically solid and worth browsing. It remains the main reason I continue to visit this location, as it’s conveniently close by.

Overall, while I appreciate the affordability and variety Burlington offers, I would encourage the management to focus more on regular tidying and reorganization throughout the day to improve the overall...

I visited this store yesterday with my daughter. When we get to the register there were only two cashiers on a busy Sat evening. The cashier that should have been open next for us, busied herself doing something else, while we waited and waited. She finally, after making us wait several minutes, turned around and gave us a look like she didn't want to wait on us. She never spoke directly to us and at the end of the transaction, when I said Thank You, she responded with a You are Welcome. Crowded store, long lines, not much of a selection. Size 10 and 11 women's shoe selection very sparse and not much to choose from, very disappointing. May have gone at the wrong time (I went on Monday at noon and it was still very crowded). Plenty of luggage here though. Prices have increased, but I’ll let that one go since everything is increasing in price. It’s little nicer than the Burlington in Frederick though since it’s a newer store. Smart idea having a hard floor instead of that ratty carpet that the Frederick store has. One star added since I won’t have to go down to Frederick if I want to go...
