The cashiers are always friendly and amazing to help! However this chain has really slipped down hill the past few years. ONLY reason to buy here is for preorder games to get exclusive content. Other than that find your games somewhere else. If your looking for consoles DO NOT BUY HERE! Unless of course they have a great sale which isn't likely. Extremely pricy. Pre-owned games are a gamble I personally don't see as worth it. They will literally rob you blind then upsell it for a fortune. Again this isn't the workers fault. It's the chain. If it wasn't for the workers id honestly give this 0 stars. Sort of convenient. Depends honestly. Most locations are out of the way anyways if your not already there. If your a parent of a child see if cartridges galore has the item you need. Unless your kid or you are hard on games and systems and run through them in under a year. That's when the warranty ends. The warranty is of course extra. Still don't see it as worth it. Rather just take my business elsewhere but they have cornered the market for new games and systems. I went to GameStop to pick up my pre-ordered Nintendo Switch 2, and the whole experience was honestly awful. The staff immediately started pressuring me to buy a warranty — not just suggesting it, but trying to scare me into thinking the system would break down without it. I told them no multiple times, but all three employees kept pushing, then gave me judgmental looks like I had done something wrong just for declining.
What really got to me was how differently they treated my friend, who was with me and bought the exact same console. He got his system handed to him nicely and in a bag. When it was my turn, they didn’t even bother with a bag — and one of them threw in a snarky comment about not pre-ordering a warranty unless I “actually plan to buy it.” Which is ridiculous, because they’re the ones who added it by default and told me I could cancel it when I picked up the console — which I did.

It causes problems with me and Uber, because of the wait time until they open at 11am. Today I said something to the long-haired man about this, because Uber told me that Gamestop is the one sending out the order before 11am. What did the long-hared man say to me about the issue? "I send the orders out a half hour ahead of time because I don't expect you to get here for another 45 minutes. It's your fault for arriving too quickly." Are you kidding me?
