The team at Hagerstown Dermatology are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. They take care in each and every step of the appointment process. From reminders about appointments to follow ups no matter how small of a problem. I can truly say Johanna changed my life. I was dealing with cystic and persistent acne that I had to cover up with makeup every single day. After multiple doctors and dermatologists telling me that I needed to wash my face with this or that over the counter product Johanna believed me and gave me what I needed to clear my face up. I’ve also gotten a hydrofacial which was a great experience. Every step was described to me as it was done with explanations on how it would help my skin. I’ve been so happy with every single experience I’ve had I decided to get filler in my lips. I was nervous at first because it was my first time getting filler. Johanna assured me of the natural results and helped ease some of my fears. The preparation for the filler was excellent. I was given instructions on how to properly prepare and even a prescription to help prevent any issues. The day of Johanna made sure I was numbed so that she could build my lip shape pain free. I was disappointed in the service and in the pricing, so I write this to save others the frustration. As a new patient, I was told to arrive early and did so, but was turned away at the door, with the comment that the door should have been locked, so I waited in the dusty hallway until my appointment. The office visit is about a hundred bucks, out of pocket only. Therefore, I made sure to come with a list of things I wanted done. To remove a small mole would’ve been an additional $300.00, to laser a broken capillary would’ve been about $200.00 additional, and don’t even get me started on the exorbitant tattoo removal quotes. (Mole removal, laser, and office visit all together usually cost me about $80 out of pocket in other areas like south Florida. To compare, here would be been about $600 for the same services.) I was embarrassed to decline the cosmetic procedures I had inquired about, because I’m usually a person who doesn’t mind spending money. My biggest disappointment of all was that I was not offered an exam for the hundred dollars I spent on the office visit. I suppose it slipped my mind to ask once I became embarrassed, but I would expect a doctor to at least offer a checkup on potential cancers, as is customary,...
