The bands were stretched, my husband's doesn't have the same thickness or shape in half of it, we were certain that they would add gold, for how much we were charged, and in order to keep the same shape of the original band. We were left sad a disappointed. If you are looking to adjust jewelery with special meaning, this place may not be the best idea. There comes a point where you have to stop using the 70 plus years on business as a guarantee that things will be done the best way possible, everything changes, and it's apparent, for the job we had done, that the experience had nothing to do with it, unless that is how you've always done things. In that case, I feel for other people's expectations. No harder "gut punch" than having your 20 years wedding bands ruined. But I'm glad you're that offended, hopefully you'll do...
Read moreI carried my Rolex watch in early May to be checked and cleaned. They told me 3 weeks, no problem as long as I had beforeJune 1 as we were leaving town. I called 3 weeks later and they told me it would be 2 more weeks. I told them that was unacceptable as we were leaving town. They called the next day and said it was ready. I thought that was funny but they assured me it was done. I paid them $400 as per agreed for cleaning. I wore it two weeks later for about 2 hours, traveled for a while and put it on in early September and it was not working. I carried to a reputable jeweler in Arizona. They sent it to a professional for repairs. He called back and said the watch needed cleaning and a main spring. I have just received and with repairs cost of over $700. I don’t believe Mehaffeys even open the watch up. Heard good things about them but will never use or recommend them. Take your Rolex to someone who will take care of these special...
