My fiancé went in there today and asked for some cards. The sales Associate ( older man) held up a box in front of him and said “oh looks like we are all out.” So he proceeded to look around and asked if he could look at some cards in the back (the singles) The sales associate said he would need to be back there to assist him. So he waited for him to assist him with looking at the cards. He waited 25 minutes and when he turned around the sales associate just stared at him and walked back behind the register. My fiancé isn’t one to just leave an establishment because of someone being rude a few times. Heck, he even doesn’t make a fuss about someone forgetting his drink or meal at a restaurant. But he said he tried one last time to purchase an item. He picked out a sealed product that was already on the shelf and went to check out. The sales associate refused to help him and was treating him like he was going to steal something. He literally said “I told him I wanted to purchase something, I just wanted to look at some singles.” Nonetheless the sales associate was lazy and rude.
He won’t be returning. It may just seem like it’s only one customer but he will be sharing his dreadful customer service experience with others. Therefore it will be future...
Read moreI was visiting my wife in college, so I wasn't a local. We decided to go out and visit some of the local game shops. This was one. They had a huge selection of just about everything. I was very impressed with it all. They even have a huge game room in the back that we did not enter as we could smell the funk from people from the front. I was really only interested in the books, which to my surprise were totally unorganized. Pathfinder, D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire the Masquerade were all mixed in together. I noticed a lot of the pathfinder paper back were unsealed from the normal plastic wrapping that they come in brand new. Some were clearly damaged. I asked the front lady about them and she got a little snarky with me saying they were new, clearly they were not. I finally settled and bough a brick of pathfinder kingmaker minis. Which was sold to me at about $130. Knowing I can literal get a brick at my local store or online for $90 I was taken back. But my wife really wanted them so I gave in. Overall the selection was nice and the game room was large, I'm sure it's a nice place, just needs a but...
Read moreAn awesome game store that doesn't mainly focus on Magic the Gathering like some shops. It has an atmosphere all it's own. They have their own set schedule of what is played during the week, but is very flexible depending the players in the shop The staff are very friendly and helpful and have no issues finding the gsme you are looking for and making sure it'll be the right fit for you. They also feature a lot of store merchandise, and an amazing board game roster so you never get bored. Additionally, the staff does know their product, which is very refreshing, unlike a lot of chain stores where the clerk will typically shrug their shoulders and say " I dunno, I couldn't tell ya." The people at Neverland Games really know their stuff and create and atmosphere that is inviting and welcoming for new and old players, and gamers of all walks of life who are just looking to spend a good afternoon enjoying themselves and...
