If I could give negative reviews I would. I am in professional sales myself so I critique a good bit and I am very forgiving but this store deserves to be shut down! Horrible customer service!!!
Just a note...I do know the names of all the sales professionals working at the store that day...I just would rather leave them out because it is not their fault that they fail miserably at their job...its training and the management!
Lets start out that I will never return and the only reason I was there was to get fitted for a friends wedding that is 7 hours away and they decided to go with Mens Warehouse for all there tuxedo needs (horrible mistake)
I showed up at 11am when doors open and there were 2 customers and 2 customer service reps helping them. Not a big deal, I understand I may have a few minute wait. There was a kind man working behind the desk that did acknowledge I was there by saying "we will be right with you". Then the man would proceed to tell his co worker to "call so and so to tell them they are late and they need to get here asap.
Finally about 30 minutes later (I still have not been helped) 2 sales professionals showed up with cell phone in hand to walk past me 4 or 5 times to later go in the back room to come back out with bags of chips and sodas in their hands asking other sales reps "what should we do". at this point there are about 4 customers behind me that are waiting to be served as well.
Finally a gentleman approached me and said it was his first day and he does not know what to do so he made small talk until his cell phone would go off and would reply to an text message. The other new girl would continue walking around the store eating her chips and drinking her soda.
Finally another sales professional came and took my measurements while the new guy would write them down on a piece of paper. From this point it was all up to the new guy who was 1 hour into his first day and had already missed 30 minutes of that day by being late to complete the rest of my transaction.
He would bring my clothes to me and I would try them on. After each fitting I would need to come out of the dressing room and chase him down. I would always find him somewhere on his phone!
Finally we got all the right clothes (I HOPE) and it was time to go to the cash register where I would give this horrible company $220.00 of my money for the worst customer service I have received before. The 2 new guy/gal would help me complete this task by one looking at the other and saying things like "hi I'm the new guy whats your name?" and "I have no idea what I'm doing" and "I'm just pushing buttons" and answering many, many text messages! I did have a few chuckles when the one older female sales rep would walk past and her breast would be showing through her white shirt.
So it was time (12:30pm) for me to swipe my card and get a pleasant smile and thank you from the cashier.........I swiped the card, signed my name and was handed a piece of paper and all I heard was "NEXT!"
So thank you Mens Warehouse for loosing a customer for life. I sure hope for my best friend and his future wife that all my stuff arrives in the correct size, color, and style! I would hate for a horrible company like you to be handling the biggest...
Read moreMy visit to Men's Wearhouse in Hagerstown Valley Malls location has been less of a desireable visit. First visit a couple months ago, my son went in to merely see if he could possibly match up a pair of pants with a suit jacket that he was needing for a wedding. He walked in, was greeted by a very nice young gentleman and while speaking with that gentleman, another sales man of whom was standing at a table nearly across the store overheard the conversation and said very loudly and abruptly to us" YEAH THAT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN". As I tried to explain again what we were wanting, the large heavyset saleman again in a very, very rude tone began to explain how the suits were all custom made, yada, yada, yada. As my son and I thanked the first inital greeter for his help, we walked out both saying how rude that sales man was. Then unfortnately, my other son of whom is to be married next month has gone to get his wedding attire with him and my first son to a fitting. I was not with them but heard that visit wasn't the best pleasant encounter either with what seemed to be a young, inexperienced sales gal that asked for one of the guys to help them but one passed by and said, I don't have time and she proceeded to explain "Well, I'm suppose to be going to lunch, but I guess I will help you". The guys got their measurements and left feeling that didn't go well. We all went back this past week for another fitting and to make sure things were on schedule when my sons find that their measurements weren't taken correctly so guess who we had to deal one but yet again the rude larger sales man from our very first visit. His attitude was the worse, his attire not fitting him, he looked and acted very unprofessional during the entire visit. The wedding is out of state and questions were asked in regards to making sure things would be delivered at the locations store for my son had heard that someone who had placed any order with them previously, when they came to pick up, the order wasn't there. The salesman made the statement "Yeah, that was a one time issue, we have 1 to 2 million suits ordered and delivered each week and that was a one time problem. His attitude was absolutely deplorable to say the least. IN closing, I just hope my sons clothing is at the store location next month when it is needed and we all hope that we won't need to deal with Men's Wearhouse in the nearest of future. Our business will definately be taken elsewhere. That salemans final comment to us " We are done and I can go home now". A customer service training class may need to be in his near future. I tried to get his name but his description should be enough, very heavyset, unput peson...
Read moreI recently rented a homecoming suit from Men’s Wearhouse, and unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory. During the initial fitting, the staff was prompt and courteous, and they took measurements carefully. However, when the rental first arrived, the fit was completely off. The pants were too small, and the jacket was tight in the arms with sleeves that were too short. Despite re-measuring and reordering, the final suit still had issues.
On the day of the final pickup, no one even asked how the suit fit. The staff seemed busy with other things, and because there wasn’t much time left before the event, I chose not to mention that both the jacket sleeves and the jacket length were still not correct. I knew it would still work out, but it shouldn’t feel that way; staff should be proactive in checking and ensuring everything fits perfectly, especially after a re-order. To make matters worse, the shirt in the final product had stains on the sleeves. While they did provide a replacement shirt, it was disappointing to receive something in that condition.
Additionally, no one clearly explained the return date upfront. While it was listed, it was easy to miss among all the information provided and the overall chaos of the process. We were charged a late fee, which felt unfair given that the store made mistakes with the initial order. Waiving the fee would have been the right thing to do.
On the positive side, the staff member who helped during the re-fitting was friendly and professional. However, the overall service lacked consistency, quality control, and clear communication, leaving us frustrated and disappointed.
In summary, while the suit eventually worked out, the process was stressful and not nearly as smooth as it should have been. Better communication, attention to detail, and flexibility; especially when errors happen on their end, would have made a big difference. I hope Men’s Wearhouse improves their service...
