I went to Staples recently in desperate need of a new cartridge for my printer. I was feeling pretty distressed, but when I walked in, I asked a gentleman up front where I could find a cartridge. He kindly directed me to the printer section. However, once I got there, I was confused and frustrated, as I didn’t think they had what I needed. Panicking, I called out for help, saying, "I need help."
That’s when Leslie appeared like an angel sent from heaven. She immediately took charge, guided me to the right cartridge, and reassured me that it was the correct one. Her calm and caring demeanor instantly put me at ease. I felt so relieved and confident in my purchase, and went up to the front to check out.
At checkout, I met Alex, who continued to brighten my day. He took the time to chat with me and ask how I was doing, making me laugh multiple times. He even told me about the rewards program, where I could trade in my old cartridge for points. I did, and was shocked to see how much money I had saved up in my Staples account!
While I was there, I noticed a soft notebook I had my eye on. Leslie came to the front and, seeing my interest, told me I could price match it if I found it cheaper elsewhere. I checked but couldn’t find the same notebook. Within moments, Leslie found the notebook online for $2 cheaper than the in-store price! She helped me get it for that price, and I left with a free notebook I never expected to own!
Leslie truly went above and beyond. She was so helpful and willing to assist me even after already helping me with my printer cartridge. She definitely deserves a promotion—if she’s not already the boss, she should be! She's the goat and the real MVP!
And as for Alex, he brought such a positive energy to the store. Staples is lucky to have him as part of their team. He’s the kind of employee that goes above and beyond, and his attitude made a huge difference in my shopping experience.

Read moreDon't waste your time on their computer repair service. I had an issue with my laptop and I've never used Staples before, but I thought I'd give it a try, big mistake. My computer was a little over a year old and it just kept shutting off. At firs they said it was a virus, they charged me $140 to fix it and said it came with 2 years of protections, just to make sure it worked they kept my laptop over night. The next day they called me saying it was a battery issue, knowing I've never once had issues with the battery, I told them to just fix the virus and I'll take care of the battery myself, two hours later they called me back saying its not the battery, the fans broken. At this point they lost all credibility with me and I just asked for my laptop back and a refund which they agreed to. I would have given two stars for agreeing to the refund, but then when I went to pick up my laptop few hours later, it was still opened up and in pieces.
When I took it back home I realized the touch pad stoped working so they actually made it worse. Then when I took it to the next technician, he told me some of my issues are due to a missing screw where it pulling everything apart because its not secure, and that the fan was not broken because even without opening the laptop, he could heard the fan.

The print section of the store is apparently very busy right now and I also do not have a lot of free time so your mileage may vary. The staff were very friendly and patient but my order ticket got lost so they did not start working on my order until hours later than they originally told me it would have been completed. When I received it they had not done what I asked them to do (probably because of the lost ticket, I don't fully blame them for not getting it right because that would have had the details of my order on it). My order was a book to be switched from book-bound to spiral-bound and they did an excellent job with that, but I also needed black covers added to the front and back and when they originally showed it to me the back cover was black but the front was clear. They did fix it for me right then and there, but it took a while, understandably. Both covers were also a weird size that does not fully cover the bottom of the book when it is held upright. However, by the time they handed it to me and I was able to inspect it up close, I was short on time so I could not ask them to fix that too.
